You don t have to own a BMW or be a resident of New Hampshire to join us, but expect to be surrounded by people who own and enjoy BMW motorcycles! 2 Granite Beemer President s Desk Another Purity Spring Rally is in the history books. The weather was fabulous and for the first time in recent memory just about ALL the rally attendees left the site to go for a ride. Myself included. I was too busy enjoying the rally to remember to take pictures (sorry Mike!). Rally attendance was up a bit again this year so I hope perhaps we are seeing a turnaround finally. The Board has been working to get information out earlier so that the public at large has more time to see that we are having an event. I had a great ride to the rally, another great ride at the rally, and yet another great ride going back home from the rally. I learned my lesson last year and did not take any highway back home on Sunday. All back roads. I was a tired but happy girl when I got home and treated myself to a black and white frappe. Couldn t ask for a better weekend! Next year s rally will be the weekend of Sept. 13 thru 15, It s election time for the club (and this country). For our humble club Officer and Director positions are open for nominations/volunteering and can be made to Mike Fugere (mafugere@tds.net) or at the next meeting which will likely be in October some time TBD. Elections occur at the next meeting after October. We have quite a few positions that will be open due to people reaching or being past the term limitation for Board positions. All positions can have someone volunteer for them or be nominated for them. Current positions are as follows: Louise Bendix President for the past 4 years. One year past term limitation. POSITION OPEN Jim Herrick Vice-President for the past 4 years. One year past term limitation. POSITION OPEN Vince Chase Secretary for the past 2 years. Chris Benda Treasurer for the past 2 years. Harry Pendexter Director for the past 5 years and is 2 years past term limitation. POSITION OPEN Chuck Otto Director for the past 4 years. One year past term limitation. POSITION OPEN Ron Beckley Director for the past 2 years.

3 Granite Beemer Please either nominate someone (check with them first!) or volunteer to be an Officer or Director for the club. The club really needs its volunteers. Participating in the club at the Board level can be gratifying and also gives members the opportunity to lead the club. The Board positions are what make the club run so that we can have yearly events, monthly events, and Destination Rides. Please, get involved volunteer to do something for your club!! The club won t work if you don t help it to work. Finally, October has our regular monthly Meet and Eats. So, this month we have: Saturday, October 6 th - First Saturday Breakfast at Parker s Maple Barn in Mason at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, October 14 th - Second Sunday Brunch at Sunset Grill in West Campton at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17 th - Third Wednesday Dinner 6:00 p.m. at NEW LOCATION: Barley House in North Hampton, 43 Lafayette Rd., North Hampton, NH (It s in front of Home Depot.).
