I sincerely thank you for all the ways you have proven that Love Will Keep Us Together! The love and support you have shown me has been remarkable during the last four years. I shall carry the special memories of organizing new chapters, reorganizing a chapter, of making official chapter visits and communicating with sisters from all corners of this great state. I urge you to consider service to the executive board; it will change your life and the way you see the big picture that is P.E.O. The panhandle sisters have been hard at work preparing for our arrival and are ready to welcome us warmly. Be sure to check out the convention information and schedule under Events on our Texas website, peotexas.org. If you are a visitor or have a BIL coming to convention, there is much to see and do. If you are serving your chapter as a convention delegate, you have a very important job. You will be inspired and motivated and will learn new information to share with your chapter. You will have the opportunity to visit and share your ideas and best practices with other sisters. You will make will lasting P.E.O. friendships. As a special treat, you will have a chance to meet our International Representative who happens to be, Beth Ledbetter, president International Chapter. I look forward to seeing you at convention. 2 Jill grew up in Placentia, California where she received her degree in Sociology from Cal State Fullerton. After graduation, she moved to Texas and worked at Rohm and Haas Texas where she met her husband, Jim. Between them, they have nine adult children. Her sister, Julie McMullan, introduced her to P.E.O. and she was initiated into Chapter EB, Clear Lake, TX in She has held several local chapter offices and has served Texas State Chapter on the Cottey College Committee from , Finance Committee in , PSA Chair in , delegate to Convention of International Chapter in St. Louis in 2015, and 2019 State Convention Co-Chair. She is looking forward to this next step in P.E.O. and is excited to serve on the Texas State Chapter Executive Board. Jill Tatum Kimberly Dufour Kimberly is the daughter of a retired Marine, so she moved all over the country in her childhood. She was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina on the Marine Base at Camp Lejeune. Her family is very musical so her decision to complete her BS Degree in Sacred Music/Vocal Performance/Choral Conducting seemed a natural choice. After completing her degree, she moved closer to her family in the Dallas area. She met her husband, Joey, while working at the Super Conducting Super Collider high energy physics project in Texas. They now reside in Oak Leaf, just south of Dallas. Their son, Nicholas, a technician at Longhorn Harley, will be moving into a home close by in DeSoto, once he is finished helping with the renovations. Their daughter, Morgan, is playing softball at Lubbock Christian University, while double majoring in Finance and Accounting. Kimberly was initiated into her mother s chapter, AF, Springfield, VA in Her mom, Jackie Kahler, and she became members of Chapter FQ, Midlothian (DeSoto), 30 years ago. Her daughter, Morgan, joined Chapter FQ shortly after her 18 th birthday. Her grandmother, Dorothy Greig, was the first member of Chapter FQ to enter Chapter Eternal. While serving in various officer roles in her chapter, Kimberly has also been the Co-Chair of the Dallas Area Council s Founders Day program in 2016 and served as Co-Chair in 2005 with PSP Tracy Fiers. She served as a delegate to Convention of International Chapter in Indianapolis in 2015 and is currently about to relinquish the office of President of the Dallas Area Council where she served for the past year. She reached her goal of visiting all 34 chapters in the council this past year and will enjoy expanding her travels to visit her sisters all over the state of Texas while serving with the Executive Board.

4 Dear Daisy Dear Daisy, I will be my chapter s delegate at the Texas State Convention in Lubbock. I have only been a P.E.O. for about a year, and have never been to a convention. My chapter sisters tell me that I will need to present a report to them. How will I know what to tell them? Dear FTD, Sincerely, First Time Delegate Congratulations on being nominated as your chapter s delegate to the Convention of Texas State Chapter! You will have an amazing time at convention, learning more about P.E.O. and meeting P.E.O.s from all over Texas. It s so much fun! At the on-site Delegate Registration area at the Overton Hotel in Lubbock, you will receive a delegate bag containing lots of helpful information. One of the items in that bag will be a handout titled Delegate Outline Report. If you like, you may use it during convention to jot down notes, and after convention when you re preparing your report. 5 Board Chronicles Texas State Chapter Executive Board What does the President do at Convention? The president has the responsibility of planning the general sessions of convention as well as presiding over those meetings. The president must approve all reports and seminars presented at convention. She also coordinates the visit of our international representative and conducts the preconvention executive board meeting immediately prior to convention. During convention, she will present to the delegation a State of the State address. She may also serve as emcee at the closing banquet. We will have the very popular Unaffiliate Telethon again this year at convention. Grab your cell phone and drop by to give an unaffiliated sister a call while you re at convention in Lubbock. You will make her day and who knows, you may just connect with your next chapter sister! The state organizer or her proxy conducts an official visit to each local chapter every four years.
