1 The Ohio County Board of Education met for a regular monthly meeting Thursday, December 20,, at 6:00 p.m. at the central office. The following members were present: Bradley Beatty/Chairperson, Dwight Raymond/Vice-Chairperson, Jay Raymond/Member, and Jeff Evans/Member CALL TO ORDER. Chairperson Bradley Beatty called the meeting to order. Mission Statement Dwight Raymond, seconded by Jeff Evans, made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. The motion carried unanimously. (4) RECOGNITIONS: PRESENTATIONS: a) Ms. Bullington, Art Teacher at Ohio Co. Middle School, and Taylor Dye, OCMS Student, presented the banner that the students created for the 2013 KSBA Conference in late February. b) Superintendent Lewis recognized Barry Geary for his years of service to the Ohio Co. Board of Education c) Superintendent Lewis presented Brad Beatty a certificate for his years of service to the Ohio Co. Board of Education. a) Greg Decker, Ohio Co. High School Principal, presented the improvements that he and staff of Ohio Co. High School have developed to achieve the goals that they have set for the students at Ohio Co. High School. Jackie McClure, Fordsville Elementary Principal, presented the improvements that she and her staff will be implementing to reach the goals they have set for the students of Fordsville Elementary. Amber Vincent, Western Elementary Principal, presented the improvements that she and her staff will be implementing to reach the goals they have set for the students of Western Elementary Communications/Dialogue (No Action): Request to Speak Board Members Superintendent Lewis thanked his staff for answering the questions that concerned parents had after the school tragedy in Connecticut. He wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

(4) c) Approve Emergency 1 st & 2 nd Reading of Policy Jeff Evans, seconded by Dwight Raymond, made a motion to approve the emergency 1 st & 2 nd reading of Policy School-Related Student Trips as recommended by Superintendent Lewis. The motion carried unanimously. (4) d) Approve FY2013 Capital Funds Request Form Jay Raymond, seconded by Dwight Raymond, made a motion to approve the FY2013 Capital Funds Request Form in the amount of $104, for District Property Insurance Premium as recommended by Superintendent Lewis. The motion carried unanimously. (4) CLOSED SESSION Probable Litigation, Personnel Issues. No closed session required ADJOURN.
