2 Our Secretary Institution Profile: Nova College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research was established in the academic year in green serene, pollution free, calm area called Jupudi. Our college is affiliated to JNTU Kakinada and is recognized by AICTE and PCI, New Delhi. The college started with an intake of 60 students and there were a total of 58 outgoing students in the first batch with a total pass percentage of 98% in B. Pharmacy course. Post graduation in Pharmacy was started in October 2011, and presently the college is offering Bachelor of Pharmacy and Masters of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Analysis with a total strength of 400 students. The students are regularly monitored and motivated by experienced faculty. Volume 1, Issue 5,

3 INFRASTRUCTURE The institution is well equipped with modern, advanced and sophisticated instruments and apparatus in order to offer the training and research need of the students as per norms of the Pharmacy council of india, AICTE and JNTUK. The machine room and M. Pharmacy research laboratories, in particular are well facilitated with state of the art equipment to serve the need of post graduate students of Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology. The library is spacious and sufficiently stocked with huge collection of books and journals. The library is computerized and has about 6000 text books needed for B. Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy courses. In addition to this the library is well furnished with various national, international journals of Pharmacy, Science and technology and online library facilities for students and staff to access hundred of research information. ACADEMICS: Three batches from B.Pharmacy were released with a good result of 95% and 85% of the final year students secured good result in & , respectively. Many of our outgoing students are placed in reputed industries, colleges and few are placed in pharmaceutical organizations in USA and UK. Our college is continuously busy with various activities like seminars, sports, industrial tours and educational activity. Principal Profile: Dr. P. Selvam M.Pharm., Ph.D, completed B.Pharm and M.Pharm from Madurai Medical College in the year 1995 and 1999 respectively. He was awarded Ph.D, from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University in the year He has 15 years of teaching experience and has presented 50 papers and published more than 50 papers in national and international journals. He is a member in APTI, ISAR and IAMPV. He was also awarded with BOYSCAST fellowship in 2007 and elected as a fellow of National Academy of Biological Sciences. (FNABS).

Nova College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research enter research collaboration with OyaGen inc, Rochester, New York, USA for Designing of Novel activator of APOBEC-.3G as potential inhibitor of HIV replication. 3. Nova College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research made research collaboration with Makore Labs Hyderabad for small molecule drug discovery 4. NCPER working with laboratory of Molecular Virology, Dept of Biotechnology, IIT-M for investigation of anticancer activity of Noni Juice in association with Noni Biotech, Chennai 5.
