1 CLASS OF 2011 CAP & GOWN: SURVEY RESULTS HIGHLIGHTS Response rate: n/n= 947/1127 approximately 84% Overall Class Results: 41% of the survey respondents reported accepting a job upon graduation. For those reporting employment: Sixty-seven percent (67%) indicated their current position is related to my career objective. 95% Total percent Reporting Yes to Utilization of Career Services (898 students out of 947 total survey respondents reported yes to utilizing career services). 89% of 2011 graduates reported yes to having completed an internship. 67% reported career leads acquired directly through their internship. 48% of students reported receiving at least one career lead or more from their parents/ family. Survey respondents reported receiving an average of 2 career leads from parents/family. 26% of total survey respondents reported acquiring career leads through networking with Elon alumni. Of the 359 respondents who answered the question Have you been accepted to graduate or professional school? 38% reported acceptance to graduate or professional school at the time of graduation. Of those respondents who reported acceptance to graduate or professional school: o 58% reported acceptance to 1-2 graduate schools o 22% reported acceptance to 3-4 graduate schools o 13% reported acceptance to 5-6 graduate schools o 6% reported acceptance to 7+ schools Of the 313 students that answered the Have you accepted a job upon graduation and Have you been accepted to graduate or professional school? questions, 60% are employed and/or are attending graduate school. 1

The median reported salary for LSB students was $49,750, with salaries ranging between $36,000 and $60,000.
