RESEARCH EXPERIENCE Gay Straight Alliance for Safe Schools (GSAFE) Field Researcher May 2013-September 2013 Facilitated focus group sessions with transgender youth and the parents of transgender youth in Wisconsin regarding their lived in and out of school experiences. Collaborated on instrument development and data analysis. University of Wisconsin-Madison, Department of Social Work Research Assistant August 2012-August 2013 Principal investigator and project director: Maurice Gattis Served as research assistant on study that investigates health disparities and risk behaviors among Black homeless Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) youth. Conducted interviews with homeless youth regarding their experiences. Assisted with instrument development. Data entry and multivariate analysis using SPSS.
