1 Keynote Speaker Mark H. Ebell, MD, MS Associate Professor of Epidemiology Co-Director, Institute for Evidence-Based Health Professions Education University of Georgia Member of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force Mark Ebell, M.D., M.S., is an associate professor of epidemiology and biostatistics at The University of Georgia with a background in family medicine. An experienced researcher, author, and editor, Dr. Ebell's expertise and research interests include primary care research, point-of-care decision support, health information technology for the primary care setting, evidence-based medicine, and systematic reviews of screening and diagnostic tests. Prior to his current position, Dr. Ebell worked at The University of Georgia as an assistant to the provost. Before that, Dr. Ebell was an associate professor of family medicine at Michigan State University, where he was also a Robert Wood Johnson Generalist Physician Faculty Scholar. An accomplished writer and editor, Dr. Ebell is the author of more than 290 peer-reviewed publications and author and co-editor of seven books. He has also held a number of editorial positions throughout his career and is currently editor-in-chief of Essential Evidence, deputy editor of American Family Physician, and co-editor of Essentials of Family Medicine. Among his many honors, Dr. Ebell received the Early Distinguished Career Achievement Award from the University of Michigan Medical Center Alumni Society and is recognized as one of the Best Doctors in America by Best Doctors. He has been selected for federal service as a member of the Medicare Evidence Development & Coverage Advisory Committee and participated in an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality study section on health care technology and decision sciences. Dr. Ebell's professional society memberships include the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians and the North American Primary Care Research Group. Dr. Ebell holds a B.A. in biology from Kalamazoo College and an M.S. in clinical research design and statistical analysis from the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan. He earned an M.D. from the University of Michigan, where he also completed a residency in family medicine. Dr. Ebell joined the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force in January Conference Chair Roland Matthews, MD Chair, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Morehouse School of Medicine Dr. Roland Matthews, Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Morehouse School of Medicine, is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist, with subspecialty certification in gynecologic oncology. Dr. Matthews has served as Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Morehouse School of Medicine since He holds appointments at Grady Memorial Hospital, Emory Crawford Long Hospital and South Fulton Medical Center. Dr. Matthews serves on several boards of directors and committees locally, statewide and nationally - principally focused on women's health, cancer and increasing health care access for underserved communities. He is Vice- President of the (CORE) board. Dr. Matthews received his AB Degree in Biology from Columbia College, Columbia University; and his Medical Degree, with distinction in research, from Stonybrook School of Medicine at the State University of New York. He completed his residency and fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology at Kings County Hospital Center, SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn and was an American Cancer Society Clinical Fellow in Oncology. Throughout his career, Dr. Matthews' research, education and clinical activities have focused on reducing disparities in underserved communities.

2 Cecelia A. Bellcross, PhD, MS, CGC Assistant Professor Director, Genetic Counseling Training Program Department of Human Genetics, Emory University Dr. Bellcross is an assistant professor in the Department of Human Genetics at Emory University School of Medicine and directs the school s new Genetic Counseling Training Program. Dr. Bellcross received her master s degree in Medical Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Genetic Counseling Training Program and completed her doctorate in Population Health Sciences. In 2010, she completed a two-year American Society of Human Genetics Public Health Genetics fellowship through the Office of Public Health Genomics at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). While at the CDC, she was involved in several projects related to population-based screening and education for hereditary cancer syndromes, and promoting use of family history to identify risk for common disease. Alice S. Kerber, MN, APRN, ACNS-BC, AOCN, APNG Oncology Nurse Specialist Alice S. Kerber is an Oncology Nurse Specialist with the Georgia Center for Oncology Research and Education. Her 34 years of experience includes both inpatient and outpatient settings ranging from screening and prevention through active treatment and palliative care. She received her bachelor s degree in Nursing from the University of Virginia and a master s degree in Nursing from Emory University. Mrs. Kerber was nominated and awarded Oncology Nurse of the Year by Georgia March of Dimes in As an advanced practice nurse in genetics, Mrs. Kerber interviews and educates individuals about family history and hereditary risk assessment. J. Leonard Lichtenfeld, MD, MACP Deputy Chief Medical Officer American Cancer Society, Inc. Dr. Lichtenfeld is Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the American Cancer Society. Among his responsibilities is directing the Society s Cancer Control Science Department. Dr. Lichtenfeld oversees the Society s cancer control programs in health disparities and serves as the medical advisor to our nationwide Laureate program. Dr. Lichtenfeld is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann Medical College (now Drexel University College of Medicine) in Philadelphia. His postgraduate training was at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the National Cancer Institute in Baltimore. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the national honor medical society. Dr. Lichtenfeld has received several awards in recognition of his efforts on behalf of his colleagues and his professional activities. He has been designated a Master of the American College of Physicians in acknowledgement of his contributions to internal medicine.

3 Nancy M. Paris, MS, FACHE President and CEO Mrs. Paris is the President and CEO of the Georgia Center for Oncology Research and Education, Vice Chair of the Georgia Health Foundation, and a member of the Board of Directors of Saint Joseph s Health System where she chairs the mission committee. She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and of Griffith Leadership Institute of the University of Michigan. Ms. Paris has a Bachelor s Degree from the University of Georgia and a Master s degree from Mercer University. Crystal Lane, MS, MPH In 2010, Ms. Lane earned a Master of Science degree from Emory University. After several years of conducting microbiology research, she decided she wanted to prevent disease at the community-level and enrolled in the Master of Public Health program at Georgia State University concentrating in prevention science. In 2012, she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the age of 26. Over the next year, she fought to endure aggressive cancer therapy while completing both an internship and fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Sarah Iwanski, MLS, (ASCP) CM Sarah Iwanski MLS (ASCP) CM was a Medical Laboratory Scientist when she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 29. As the mother of 2 young children and a uniquely challenging case, she quickly realized that her experiences needed to be put to good use. Sarah is currently the co-founder and CFO of Surviving Sisters. She is lucky enough to have treatment in an area with a wealth of resources, but navigating the system is difficult. Surviving Sisters aims to support women in all aspect of the continuum of care by connecting them to the resources available to them. Her current interests are educating new and existing members of the health care community as to the needs of breast cancer survivors and educating the survivor community of all the new resources available to them.

4 Barbara Crane, MN, APRN Director of Cancer Screening and Treatment Georgia Department of Public Health Barbara E. Crane is an Atlanta native who is a graduate of the Crawford W. Long School of Nursing, Georgia State, and Emory Universities. She began her Public Health career in 2000 with the Clayton County Board of Health following retirement from 30 years of delivering babies as a Nurse-Midwife. In Clayton County, she worked as the Women s Health Coordinator until transferring to the state office as a Nurse Consultant for the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program. Recently, Mrs. Crane was promoted to the position of Director of the Office of Cancer Screening and Treatment. Monique Martin, MPH, CHES Health Education and Communications Specialist Monique Martin is a Health Education and Communication Specialist with Georgia CORE the Center for Oncology Research and Education. Ms. Martin is a Certified Health Education Specialist. She earned her Master s degree in public health with a concentration in behavioral sciences and health education from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health. She also received a certificate in the socio-contextual determinants of health. Molly Klein, MS, CGC Director of Cancer Genetics Piedmont Healthcare Molly Klein is a board certified genetic counselor and the current director of the cancer genetics program at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. A native of Athens, GA, Molly earned a bachelor of science in genetics from the University of Georgia. She also received a Master of Science degree in human genetics/genetic counseling from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY. Upon graduation, Molly worked at Vanderbilt Medical center where she practiced prenatal and pediatric genetic counseling. She was also a study coordinator doing genetic research for macular degeneration. Molly has been with Piedmont Hospital for 9 years, focusing solely on hereditary cancer genetic counseling and testing.
