Part of University s senior leadership, reporting to Provost. Work collaboratively with colleagues to identify needs of school, its staff, faculty and students, and to assemble strategic and operational solutions to address those needs. Responsible for working with staff to improve net revenue from program operations, by enhancing enrollment, improving operational efficiency, and creating new programs. Responsible for enhancing student service and support, to improve student success, address gaps in support for student concerns ranging from sexual misconduct to mental illness to study habits. Responsible for creating strategies to improve the quality of instruction. This includes initiatives to recruit faculty, provide them with resources to improve their ability to teach adult learners, and reward them with rank and promotion. Responsible for enhancing the School s ability to deliver online programs to an expanding audience, both within the Commonwealth and beyond. Responsible for working with outreach and program administrative staff to deliver educational programs to Federal, state and law enforcement agencies. This includes efforts to address educational and credentialing needs of veterans. Responsible for collaboration with public officials and business community to design workforce investment strategies to create Virginia s 21 st Century workforce. Responsible for development, management and evaluation of two undergraduate degree programs, business and professional certificates, design and strategic expansion of corporate training and outreach, and management of non-credit programs offered by the School. Responsible for oversight of all student service operations.

2 December 2004 to August 2014 Graham School of Continuing Liberal and Professional Studies 1427 East 60th Street Associate Dean for Graduate and Professional Programs. Responsible for development, management and evaluation of business and professional certificates, design and strategic expansion of corporate training and outreach, and management of for-credit programs offered by the Graham School. Responsible for annual program revenues in excess of three million dollars and operating budget in the range of five- to six-million dollars. Part of senior management team reporting to Dean. Supervise the work of eight Program Managers in the division and five support staff. Oversee the design of curriculum, delivery of student services, and hiring of instructors, including ninety part-time instructors and ten full-time, tenured faculty from other departments. Expanded focus on delivery of student services to nontraditional students, opening up access to career events, university resources, and alumni privileges. Played central role in launch of the s first online programs. Guided efforts to expand internationally, including outreach in Europe, China and India. Partnered with state and municipal officials to enroll qualified unemployed applicants using state educational vouchers. Responsible for corporate and governmental partnerships including collaboration with new state-funded Biotechnology hub called Matter, created to incubate biotech start-ups. Engineered relationships with Chicago area firms to be a preferred training provider. Worked with marketing directors and program staff to increase enrollment. For three years served as Academic Director of State Department-funded Institute for the Study of Democracy, Leadership, and Service in the United States. RESIDENTIAL HOUSING EXPERIENCE August 2006 to July 2013 Office of Undergraduate Student Housing 6030 S. Responsible for community life, discipline, health and welfare of residents, dispute resolution, program budgeting, and supervision of Resident Assistants and Orientation Aides. Helped students devise strategies for work/life balance in demanding educational environment. Tireless advocate for students. Worked to connect students with wide range of university resources. Served on multiple occasions on committees designed to address student discipline questions, examine food service options, and to contribute ideas to designs for the next generation of residential facilities.
