13 Liberty s First Day Liberty opened on Monday, August 11 th On the 1st Day there were: 27 Surgeries 39 ED visits Over 380 other visits (clinics, therapy, testing, radiology) TOTAL PATIENTS = 446

18 Objective: Pebble Project To determine the impact of adding a second stand alone pediatric emergency department on patient satisfaction and patient volumes. Data Collection Tools: CCHMC Volume reports and Patient Satisfaction Surveys Hypothesis: Patient volumes will not be cannibalized from Main campus, and Patient Satisfaction will be consistent between campuses.

20 Patient Satisfaction Data Collection Method Population: Patients with ED visits from 8/28/08 to 7/23/10. Sample: Up to 20 families per week for Base Hospital and up to 10 families per week for Liberty were randomly selected and interviewed by telephone. Questions: How would you rate your waiting time in the ED?(0-5; poor to excellent) Using any number from 0 to 10 where 0 is the worst care possible and 10 is the best care possible, what number would you use to rate your child's care during your visit to the Emergency Department?

23 Previous Hypothesis: Pebble Project Outcomes Patient volumes will not be cannibalized from Main campus, and Patient Satisfaction will be consistent between campuses. Data Says: Patient volumes did not significantly cannibalize from Main campus, and Patient Satisfaction overall was fairly consistent with the exception of wait time.
