Last date for receipt of duly completed application forms & Demand Drafts is 5:00 pm 10 th February, Date, Time and Venue for M.Phil. / Ph.D. Entrance Test: The M.Phil. / Ph.D. Entrance Test will be held on 18 th February 2018 from 10:00 am onwards at Meerut. The M.Phil. / Ph.D. Entrance Test on 18 th February 2018 would consist of 2 parts a) General Aptitude Test common to all applicants, from 10:00 am to am on 18 th February 2018 and b) Subject Specific Tests to examine basic fundamental knowledge in the subject, from a. 11:30 am to 12:30 pm for candidates applying to only one Department b. 11:30 am to 12:30 pm & 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm for candidates applying to two Departments c. 11:30 am to 12:30 pm & 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm & 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm for candidates applying to three Departments Date, Time and Venue for Personal Interview: The Personal Interview will be held on AM onwards on a) 18 th February 2018 (For Candidates who are exempted from entrance test) and b) 18 th February 2018 (For Candidates who are shortlisted through entrance test), at Shobhit University NH-58, Modipuram, Meerut Phone: / 92 3

4 Candidates must enclose photocopies of the following documents with the duly completed Application Form: 1) Pass certificate and marksheet of Class 10 2) Marksheet of Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent 3) Certificate and marksheets of Graduation 4) Certificate and marksheets of Post-Graduation 5) College Leaving Certificate 6) Migration Certificate 7) Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programs are eligible only if (a) they acquired such qualifications as working professionals / while in employment, (b) the programs are recognized by the DEC-UGC-AICTE or MHRD, (c) they have passed the qualifying examination at the time of applying, with minimum requisite marks as given in eligibility criteria. They must enclose photocopies of (i) work experience certificate (ii) pass certificate and marksheets of qualifying examination with their application. 8) GATE / CSIR-NET / BRNS/ NBHM / other test admit card and Score card (if applicable) 9) Sponsorship letter, NOC, Experience Certificate and Facilities available to carry out the research work at their place of working (if applicable) for Sponsored / Part-Time candidates 10) One recent colour passport size photograph, identical to that affixed in the application form 11) Photo identification: (Driving license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Employee Identification Card are acceptable) Write your Name, your telephone number and M.Phil. / Ph.D. January 2018 on the back of each of these documents and certificates. All such papers must be stapled or stitched to the form. Do not enclose any original certificates with your application at this stage. Please note: (i) The Admissions Office / concerned Departments may not undertake detailed scrutiny of applications before Test / Interviews, and all shortlisted applicants called for Test / Interviews, except those whose applications are summarily rejected, are allowed to appear at the Test / Interviews on purely provisional basis, subject to their eligibility being verified at the time of Test / interviews or at the time of Admission. Merely being allowed to appear at the Test / Interviews will not be considered as a ground for being eligible for admission to the M.Phil. / Ph.D. program. Further, mere submission of application form does not entitle a candidate to appear for the Test / Interviews. (ii) All candidates in their own interest should keep photocopies of their completed forms for their own reference. (iii) The Department-wise list of eligible candidates with registration number will be displayed on the University website. (iv) Candidates whose names appear in the lists may note their Registration Numbers and should come to attend the Test and Interview. They are advised to carry a photocopy of their completed application form at the time of Test and Interviews. No individual intimation will be sent to candidates. (v) No Admit Card will be issued. (vi) Candidates whose names do not appear in the lists of eligible candidates, may contact the Admissions Office on
