4 The 27th annual Theodore Soriano Outstanding Service Award for Administrative Employees and the John Soriano Outstanding Service Award for Operational Employees are made possible through an endowment established by the late Mr. Theodore J. Long of Altoona, PA. Theodore Soriano Finalist for Administrative Employees Nicole M. Bauman Kathleen A. Domonkos Juliana M. Horvath Ashley L. Krinjeck Dr. Frank C. Montecalvo, Jr. Jeffrey L. Savino Theodore Soriano Outstanding Service Award for Administrators Ms. Kathleen A. Domonkos - Public Services Manager, Library Kathy has always gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure students got what they needed. She is like a mother to most of the students and even to some of the younger staff members. Kathy works tirelessly to help the students and staff of the University. She is always friendly and efficient. I wish everyone possessed her problem-solving abilities and kindness. Though I am happy for her that she is retiring this year, her absence will be felt on campus and in the library.

Wess John Soriano Outstanding Service Award for Operational Employees Ms. Marjorie L. McHenry - Administrative Assistant/Ticket Manager, Athletic Margie is a tireless worker in Athletics and always has a cheerful disposition. Margie is an excellent faithful employee, but is also the face that greets the many people who are coming to Stokes for games, events, and for general information. She is always friendly and helpful to all. There are never complaints about Margie being short with people. I'm sure she has bad days, but the public including our students, would never know. She truly represents the Franciscan spirit.

6 25 Year Recipients Sandra A. Balough Sandra started her career at Saint Francis in 1991 as the Technical Services Coordinator, Assistant Librarian. She was promoted to Technical Services Coordinator, Associate Librarian in She served as the Interim Director of Library and Academic Information Services before being named to the position in In 2008, she was named Dean of Library Services. Sandra has proven to be the consummate professional. She has remained up-to-date on issues in information services. She, and her staff, have continued to provide much needed support material for students and faculty in a way that is cost effective and innovative. Sandra has extended her talents across the campus. She has served as an advisor to first year students and as chaplain of the swim team. Sandra, and her staff, piloted the current version of the performance assessment system. The University extends deep gratitude for her hard work and dedication for the past 25 years of service. Kathleen A. Domonkos Kathy began her career at Saint Francis in 1991 as a part-time Circulation Clerk working evenings and weekends in the library. In 1993 she was promoted to the position of Public Access Services Manager. Kathy s goal has always been to make the library a warm and welcoming place and to make contact with library users personal and friendly. She treats people the way she would want to be treated. Kathy has worn many hats during her 25 years at Saint Francis. She has supervised Interlibrary Loan and managed the University Archives and Records Center in addition to her duties as Public Services Manager. Kathy has served the University on the Staff Council, the Founders Day Committee and as an academic advisor to First Year Students. Kathy has done an outstanding job of providing the best library service to SFU! The University extends its deepest appreciation.

7 Juliana M. Horvath Juliana started her career at Saint Francis in 1990 as a Clerk/Typist in the Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program office. She served from in the Office of Continuing Education as an Office Assistant, Programs Assistant, and Continuing Education Coordinator. In 2008, Julie stepped out of her comfort zone and became the first director for the Center of International Education and Outreach. Working from scratch, she developed all of the policies and procedures in place today. She introduced the Ambialet program to the French Embassy in Washington DC and recruited them as a program ally. Most importantly, she has served as the primary point of contact between parents and students during times of crisis, regardless of the day or the hour. Julie not only recruits for upcoming programs, but she keeps program alumni connected, as well. She has worked to extend the centers reach to partner schools in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Indiana. Today she's working alongside of others in the Saint Francis community to extend and broaden study abroad opportunities. The University values and appreciates Julie s leadership and congratulates her on 25 years of faithful Franciscan service. Marie S. Link Marie started her career at Saint Francis in 1991 as a part time Data Manager in the Physician Assistant Program. Since that time, her role in the PA department has grown and evolved. She was made the full time Data Manager in Due to her quality work for the PA department, the scope of her position expanded to include work as a Prototype Manager for CERMUSA before being named the Director of Research and MPAS Graduate Admissions in the PA department in Marie continues to utilize her assessment talents not only for the PA department, but also for the University as a whole through her service on the Middle States Committee and the Institutional Effectiveness Committee. Her comprehension of technology and her willingness to share her talents make her a valued employee. Her positive attitude is consistently demonstrated by her willingness to assume new tasks asked of her. Marie approaches each of these with a can-do attitude and actively participates in brainstorming ideas and assisting others to reach their potential. The University and Marie Link s colleagues extend a heartfelt appreciation to her for 25 years of service and dedication.
