The information contained in this report was produced by the Office of Registration and Records and the UMKC Data Warehouse and, unless otherwise noted, is based on data collected at the end of the fourth week of classes of FS2017, per guidelines provided by the Coordinating Board of Higher Education. 6 Gender In FS2017, 44% of UMKC s on campus students were male and 56% were female. 7 Enrollment by Career In FS2017, 20% of UMKC students were enrolled at the dual credit high school level, 50% were enrolled at the on campus undergraduate level, 31% were enrolled at the graduate level. 31% Dual Credit Undergraduate Graduate When dual credit high school students are excluded, enrollments are 62% undergraduate and 38% graduate. 50% 20% Enrollment by Academic Level The chart below shows the headcount by Academic Level. 8 Enrollment by Academic Group The FS2017 headcount by academic group is presented in the graph below. The largest academic group is College of Arts & Sciences. 9 Geographic Origin In FS2017, Missouri residents represented 63% of the on campus population. Another 20% were from Kansas, 10% were from other states, and 8% were international. 11 Transfer Institutions The majority of new undergraduates at UMKC transfer from other institutions. There were a total of 1,160 new undergraduate transfer students in FS2017. Of those, 597 transferred from Missouri colleges and universities and 563 transferred from other states and countries.
