Aron Doctoral Fellowship Program Sponsor: National Association of Social Workers Description: Provides support to social work doctoral candidates engaged in dissertation research about health care policy and practice. Dissertations that include a diversity component are encouraged. As part of the award, the recipient will be expected to submit a final dissertation to the NASW Foundation upon completion. Head Start Graduate Student Research Grant Sponsor: U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Deadline: April 25, 2016 Description: Funds are provided for Head Start Graduate Student Research Grants to support rigorous dissertation research by advanced doctoral students who are working in partnership with Head Start or early Head Start Programs and faculty mentors. The projects should directly address the needs of low-income children and families and their early childhood educators. Parkinson s Disease Foundation Summer Student Fellowship Description: Fellows work under the close supervision of a sponsor who is an expert in the Parkinson s community and oversees the project.
