The design philosophy of HSA can best be described as participatory design. We believe it is vital for the design team to clearly understand the client s projects operational requirements, functional needs, and future goals. This builds consensus among project participants, who are then ready to move forward in a common direction. HSA believes this is most successfully accomplished through work sessions that include the close collaboration of Administration, User Groups, Architect, project Engineers and other consultants. We include the project engineers and consultants early in the programming and schematic design discussions to utilize their experience with issues that may affect the design, budget or schedule, and to help propose ideal solutions.
