He has been an invited speaker at ICC conferences. Until recently, Mr. Norton was Of Counsel for the international law firm Tilleke & Gibbins International, which has offices in Bangkok, and Phuket, Thailand as well as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and is affiliated in Myanmar. His role at Tilleke included dispute resolution advice, overseeing international commercial litigation and handling arbitration matters both as counsel and as arbitrator. Mr. Norton practices as a Barrister in Canada at his law firm James G. Norton Professional Corporation. He is a Certified Specialist in Civil Litigation under the auspices of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Mr. Norton is a leader in document intensive litigation utilizing the most current electronic document management systems. He is recognized as offering specialization in discreet practice areas listed below. Over the past 30 years, Mr. Norton has represented companies in complex product and construction liability litigation including companies and individuals charged with offences under the Ontario Health and Safety Act which is a quasi-criminal regime.
