Co-Founder, U of MN chapter of the Experimental College of the Twin Cities As one of five grassroots organizers to start our chapter within one academic year with a budget of less than $200, I co-founded and taught in a free, progressive university where anyone can teach and anyone can learn. EXCO-TC: Offers hundreds of classes every semester throughout the Twin Cities like Bike Maintenance for Girls, Web Design for Your Community Org, Nietzsche for Beginners Collaborates with dozens of Twin Cities organizations like Cycles for Change, the Brian Coil Center, Youth Against Police Brutality, and Minneapolis Free Space Went from offering 8 classes in Fall 2007 to offering 40 classes in Spring of 2008 Expanded to a 3 rd, branch, Academia Communitaria My roles included: web design, grant-writing, budget management, outreach, social media, writer of newsletter and other public relations materials, and designer of course assessment tools.
