2 About the Cherry Hill campus The Swedish Cherry Hill campus is located in Seattle s historic Central District. The building now known as James was home to the first hospital in Seattle, established in 1877 by the Sisters of Providence, a Catholic charity. In July 2000, Providence Seattle Medical Center, as it was then known, became part of Swedish. Since then, the campus has undergone more than $100 million in new construction and renovations and now stands as one of the most modern and technologically advanced medical facilities in our region. Renovations include new neurosurgery and cardiovascular surgery operating rooms and interventional suites that are among the most advanced in the country. The services at Swedish Cafeteria and espresso From espresso, delicious soups and sandwiches to grill specials, hot entrees and salads, you ll find excellent choices in the Dining Room located on the first floor. The Dining Room is open daily Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Starbucks is located between the main lobby and James. There is also a Starbucks located on the first floor of the Jefferson. Both locations are open Monday Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Health information A health-information kiosk with brochures on many health topics is located between the Gift Shop and the Dining Room on the main floor of the hospital. Reflection Room and Spiritual Care Find a moment of quiet solitude in our Reflection Room, located on the main floor next to the gift shop. Also, Spiritual Care chaplains are available for patients and families needing emotional support. To request chaplain services before 5 p.m. on weekdays, call After 5 p.m. and on weekends, call Gift shop, cash machine Be sure to stop by our gift shop for flowers or the perfect gift. It s located on the first floor, across from Starbucks. In addition, you ll find a newspaper stand and cash machine on the main level near the parking garage skybridge.
