Primary responsibilities include partnering with the other members of the research and evaluation team in the completion of a variety of research and evaluation projects. This includes qualitative and quantitative approaches in which a variety of statistical and survey programs are utilized including SPSS, Microsoft Excel, and Qualtrics. Additional responsibilities include organizing and preparing literature reviews, writing evaluation and research reports, and participating in fieldwork throughout the State of Kansas. Primarily responsibilities included assisting faculty with the completion of various research studies. This included reviewing social work literature, and collecting and analyzing data using the SPSS statistical program and Microsoft Excel for quantitative research projects. Under the guidance of a faculty research mentor, completed one quantitative research project exploring the impact of self-esteem on men s body image issues and eating disorders behaviors and two quantitative research projects regarding gay men and HIV/AIDS risk behaviors. Community Outreach - Provided assistance to children and young adults ages 5-21 with developmental, physical, or intellectual disabilities by nurturing intellectual, socio-emotional, and physical development to clients. This included academic counseling and pre-college planning HIV/AIDS Medical Case Manager/Counselor - University of Kansas Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas Delivered case management to individuals living with HIV/AIDS and conducted HIV/AIDS testing at the Medical Center and facilities in the local community Practicum Student - Center for Community Health and Wellness, Wichita, Kansas Assisted individuals and families with overcoming adverse consequences associated with addiction and dysfunctional life style choices through case management referral services and individual and group outpatient intensive counseling.
