Community engaged research project (community partner: Salud Family Health Centers) investigating how various groups of Coloradans understand health and how culture, ethnicity, and socio-economic status impact patients experiences of and access to medical treatment. One of the main goals of the project is to help Salud meet the needs of its diverse patient population Culture, Globalization, and Mental Health in Oaxaca, Mexico. Ongoing mixed-methods research on the transnational dimensions of mental health and emotion in Southern Mexico. Project focuses on the culture and political economy of mental healthcare; experiences and conceptions of emotion and psychopathology; the local incorporation of globalizing psy- concepts and practices; and the interface between immigration and mental health.
