1 University of Missouri Kansas City School of Education Employment Milestones (CAEP 4.3) Description of Data: Placement and Persistence for UMKC Completers. Each year the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education forwards information about district employees employed in Missouri public schools to the teacher education programs in which they were prepared. These data are sent to our assessment coordinator and data manager and include the completers (a) year certified, (b) certification area, (c) current district, (d) current school, and (e) number of years employed in a Missouri public school as a teacher. These data allow us to track our completers persistence in the profession in Missouri public schools.
