1 The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences Diversity & Inclusion Annual Report Academic Year
2 Introduction As part of The Christ College of Nursing and Health Science Diversity & Inclusion Action Plan for , The Diversity & Inclusion Committee is to publish an annual diversity report that highlights the achievements and progress of the institution during each academic year. This publication will be made available on the College s website where it is available for public viewing. The definition of diversity at The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences (TCCNHS) is broad; it includes, but is not limited to, individual differences, such as personality, learning styles and life experiences, and group/social differences such as age, race and ethnicity, gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, language, nationality, physical and mental abilities, political viewpoint, and religion (Adapted from Association of American Colleges & Universities, 2009). 3 Employee demographic data were gathered by TCCNHS for submission to the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) as part of an annual reporting process. As of November 1, 2015: - For Full and Part Time Faculty: - 87% are female and 13% are male - 77% identify as White, 5% identify as another racial/ethnic minority, and 18% did not indicate their race/ethnicity Diversity & Inclusion Annual Report
4 - For Staff: - 81% are women and 19% are male - 81% identify as White and 18% identify as another racial/ethnic minority - For Administration: - 84% are women and 16% are male % identify as white, 6% identify as another racial/ethnic minority, and 6% did not indicate their race/ethnicity. Administration category contains Director-level and above, including those who do not supervise. Academic program directors however, are considered full-time faculty, not administration. Admissions and Recruitment of Minority Students for Academic Year : Number of minority students applications submitted (partial and complete) = 547 Number of minority students accepted = 86 Number of minority students matriculated = 64 Names of high schools that matriculated FTE students came from Home School GED Ludlow 5% of school is minority New Richmond/Grant Career Center 8.2% of school is minority Lawrenceburg 10% of school is minority Princeton 69.6% of school is minority Diversity & Inclusion Annual Report

6 Highlighted Events Sponsored by the Diversity & Inclusion Committee During Academic Year Six memorials around the college created a visual display drawing attention to the high rates of violence that transgender people face - Literature sent to all faculty, staff, and students about the lives of transgender people - Faculty Assembly discussion about how to talk to students about trans issues Magna Publishers webinar training, targeting Administrative leaders who are in hiring positions (March 22 nd, and ongoing) Diversity & Inclusion Annual Report
