Brantigan, MD, FCCP, FACS has practiced vascular surgery in Denver for a number of years with a special interest in limb salvage surgery. Two years ago he merged his private practice with the vascular surgery program at the University of Colorado. He s a graduate of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and is board certified in general surgery, vascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgery and critical care. He established the first multidisciplinary wound care program at Denver Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center. He s provided clinical rotations for podiatry residents for most of his career. He plays tuba for the Denver Brass. Kevin A. Kirby, DPM, MS, is Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Applied Biomechanics, California School of Podiatric Medicine and is in a private Group Podiatric-Orthopedic and Industrial Musculoskeletal Injury practice in Sacramento, CA. He completed his DPM degree at California College and attained a Master of Science in Podiatric Biomechanics there as well. He s a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of JAPMA, a manuscript reviewer for Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He s presented numerous national and international lectures, authored seven books and many articles for a variety of publications. June Baker Laird, JD, is a Partner at McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter, Greenwood Village, CO. She is well known as an attorney who is highly knowledgeable about Colorado podiatric issues and practices.

4 2014 Conference Schedule page 4 Kelly Lindauer, MD, is a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine, is board certified in diagnostic radiology and has authored several articles on various radiology topics. He s a member of Diversified Radiology of Colorado. Dianne Mitchell, DPM, is a graduate of the California School of Podiatric Medicine and is fellowship trained in sports medicine. She s Board Certified by American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is a Fellow and current board member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. She practices with Mercy Medical Group in Sacramento and is Assistant Clinical Professor, Volunteer Series (teaching family practice and internal medicine residents) at University of California, Davis, and is a Clinical Director for Special Olympics in Northern California. Jeffrey C. Page, DPM, is Associate Dean, College of Health Sciences, and Director of the Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. Dr. Page has spent 28 years in podiatric education and is continuously engaged in research and writing of diabetic foot complications wound care and infectious disease. He s a former Chair of the Board of the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine, American Diabetes Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a Fellow of ACFAS, ACFAOM, ABPS and the American Society of Podiatric Dermatology. He s been named several time as among the 150 most influential podiatrists in the U.S. John T. Sacha, MD, is a nationally recognized expert in interventional pain management and complex spinal disorders. He s board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Management and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is the Director of Colorado Pain and Rehabilitation s Interventional Pain Fellowship Program, a nationally accredited program. He s a member of state and national medical committees and is former Chair of the State of Colorado Workers Compensation Guidelines Committee. He s a world-ranked tournament poker player. Stephen Silvani, DPM, is Past President of American Board of Podiatric Surgery and also of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons-Pediatrics. He participates the Baja Foot Project for Crippled Children, Honduras Mission and has done extensive lecturing and writing in the field. He s on staff of the Permanente Medical Group, Walnut Creek, CA. James W. Stavosky, DPM, FACFAOM, FASPS, is Director of the residency program at St. Mary s Medical Center, Chief of Podiatric Surgery, Seton Medical Center, and Adjunct Professor, California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt College. He s chair of the exam committee of the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Medicine. He s a Fellow of ACFAS, ACFAOM, and has published many articles on the diabetic foot.

Wilkins, MD, is Medical Director of The Denver Clinic for Extremities At Risk, Medical Director of the Joint Restoration Foundation, President of The Limb Preservation Foundation and Senior Medical Director of AlloSource, a nonprofit consortium which processes bone and tissue for human transplantation. He received a master s degree in Cellular Biology as well as medical degree. He completed a fellowship in orthopaedic oncology at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Wilkins is the senior partner of Colorado Limb Consultants and is Affiliate Faculty Member at Colorado State University. He s recognized internationally as an expert on limb preservation, bone and soft tissue tumors and bone transplantation. Continuing Medical Education This program may be approved for up to 15.5 hours (or 17 hours if Grand Rounds are attended as well) of Continuing Education Contact Hours. The Colorado Podiatric Medical Association is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a sponsor of continuing education in podiatric medicine.
