1 Former LASC Reporters Directory Welcome to the Former LASC Reporters Directory compiled by the Los Angeles County Court Reporters Association. The purpose of this directory is to promote the experience these court reporters possess and to assist attorneys who are searching for court reporters to cover court work. On June 30 th, 2012, due to budget shortfalls, 55 court reporters were laid off from the Los Angeles Superior Court and 50 were reduced to part-time status. On June 30 th, 2013, all part-time court reporters were laid off, in addition to 16 full-time court reporters. Effective June 14, 2013, the Los Angeles Superior Court will no longer provide court reporters for general jurisdiction civil matters, except in the writs departments in the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. The court reporters contained on this directory were laid off from the Los Angeles Superior Court. All of the reporters listed have been trained by the LASC in court rules and procedure, including jury trials and appeal transcript production; many are realtime writers.
