3 COMMITTEE ON MINISTRY I. FOR INFORMATION: A. Received written exit interviews with the New Monmouth Session and Rev. Martin Stokes. B. Received written exit interview with the Staunton Third Session and Rev. Jack Wilkers. II. ACTIONS TAKEN: A. Approved renewing the temporary supply pastor contract between the Gerrardstown Session and the Rev. John Robinson from November 1, 2014-March 31, B. Approved renewing the temporary supply pastor contract between the Hot Springs Session and the Rev. Scott Conrad from March 1, 2015-March 1, C. Approved renewing the commissioned ruling elder contract between the Slanesville Session and Michele Elliott from January 1-December 31, D. Approved renewing the commissioned ruling elder contract between the Ivanhoe and Wardensville churches and Dwight Rinard from January 1-December 31, E. Approved renewing the temporary supply contract between Clear Brook and Mt. Hope churches and David Duckworth from January 1-June 30, F. Approved renewing the temporary supply contract between the Bunker Hill Session and Paul Wolverton from December 1, 2014-November 30, (On November 8, 2013 an exception was granted for this relationship as Paul is a member at Bunker Hill. It was noted that Paul had been away from Bunker Hill for approximately 10 years serving as a commission ruling elder at the Tomahawk Church. The COM agreed to continue this exception through November 30, 2015, with the opportunity for renewal.) G. Approved the ministry information form from the Falling Waters PNC and authorized Kim Stroupe to input the data onto the Church Leadership Connection website. H. Appointed the following moderators and liaisons: George Evans given extra responsibilities to Trinity Church, typically those of liaison Betty Dax as moderator to New Providence Church Merle Fisher as liaison to Elkton Church I. Following a report from discussions held with the Warrenton Session, the COM authorized the formation of a PNC at Warrenton Church. J. Pending the placement of a COM liaison and a meeting between said liaison and the session at Hedgesville to determine their future pastoral leadership based upon the mission study, Hedgesville Church has permission to form a PNC. K. Granted permission to authorized ruling elder Jean Steidel to serve Communion at Nineveh Church through the end of L. Approved the contract between the Rev. Carl Pattison (Carlisle Presbytery) and the New Monmouth Session, pending receipt of a signed Presbytery of Shenandoah contract form before service begins. III. RECOMMENDATION: That Presbytery grant the status of honorably retired to the Rev. Anne M. Ross effective March 1, S-2
