I chose UNT Dallas because of the reasonable tuition, and the accessible professors who serve as mentors. FOCUS Fixed-Rate Tuition Plan The FOCUS fixed-rate tuition plan offers students the opportunity to lock in their tuition rate, for a maximum of five years, instead of paying the regular tuition rate, which is subject to increase annually. The FOCUS Fixed Tuition Plan ensures a total tuition and mandatory fee cost of $7,650 per year for 30 credit hours. The FOCUS Fixed Tuition Plan helps students and their families plan for the cost of a college education. VETERANS AFFAIRS North Texas veterans can find a haven of support at UNT Dallas Veterans Success Center. Located less than five miles from the North Texas VA, the Veterans Success Center provides personal and educational services to both active-duty veterans, and those transitioning to civilian life. A military veteran who can best relate to student veterans unique concerns staffs the center. The Veterans Success Center provides current veteran students and their families with: Counseling Tutoring at the Learning Commons The UNT Dallas Learning Commons is home to peer tutors ready to help students with math homework and writing skills. Advising Career support We help our students find creative ways to gain experience in their fields of interest. That takes different forms based on their majors. For our educators that may mean student teaching, for others it might mean service learning and volunteer opportunities and internships. In a sense, they get to test drive their careers prior to graduation.
