9 February 11, 2019 To: Board of Supervisors (BOS) From: Sherry Timmins, Policy and Administration Specialist Re: Outcome - Witwer Trust Grant Applicants for Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 Cc: Darrin Gage, Director, Policy and Administration Discussion and approval Funding for FY 19 Witwer Trust applications - for discussion, Monday, February 11 Final approval - consent agenda, Wednesday, February 13 Supervisor funding allotments 37 applicants moved forward from Round 1 to Round 2 (an applicant must have received a composite score of 60 or greater following Round 1 review) Using the $80,000 available, each Supervisor allotted a specific amount to each Round 2 applicant Averaged allotment The total allotment amount made to each applicant was then averaged. For example, an applicant identified with three allotments of $2,500, $3,000, and $1,000 were totaled for a sum of $6,500; an average of $2,167 ($6,500 / 3) The sum of the averaged allotments totals $81,054 - $1,054 overage Option $1,054 was deducted from the five highest funded applicants for a modified funded amount (deductions ranged between $175 to $250) This was completed to provide you an alternative to achieve the needed reduction - you may of course exercise a different option Excel attachment for your information OUTCOMES FY19 tabs: FUNDED Average allotment received and modified allotment AVERAGED Averaged allotment per Round 2 applicant ALLOTMENTS per Supervisor and resulting composite score BY SUPERVISOR allotment and assigned score SCORES about scores 61 or greater ALL APPLICANTS submitted for FY 19 NOT ADVANCED beyond Round 1 due to scoring 60 or less HISTORICAL FY 2005 to through FY 2018 applicants, projects, request, and award made (cut and pasted from source documents may be subject to error)
