1 ADMISSION NOTIFICATION - PH.D. PROGRAMMES Applications from eligible candidates are invited for admissions to Ph.D. programs (Full time / In service/ Part time) in all subjects/specialties of Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing and Management faculty of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University for the Academic Year Eligibility: a) Candidates with MD / MS, DM / MCh /PG Diploma/ MSc (Medical) degree from MCI recognized college / Institution are eligible for Ph.D. Programs in Medical faculty. b) Candidates with MDS or equivalent Master s degree from DCI recognized college / Institution are eligible for Ph.D. Programs in Dental faculty. c) Candidate with PG degree in Physiotherapy (MPT), PG degree in Nursing (MSc), PG degree in Pharmacy (M Pharm) & Pharma D and PG degree in Management from a college / Institution Recognized by INC / IAP / PCI / AICTE / UGC as the case may be are eligible for Ph.D. d) Regular employees of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University are eligible for Inservice Ph.D. programs in their respective faculty provided they meet the eligibility criteria mentioned in UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M. Phil / Ph.D. Degrees) Regulations e) Part time candidates from outside the institute must be a full time/regular faculty of Medicine/ Dental /Allied Health Sciences with minimum of 2 years experience at the time of admission and sponsored by the concerned institute / organization. The candidate should be working in an organization which encourages and facilitates research. He/she meets the requisite minimum qualification for admission to Ph. D. programme of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth deemed to be University. The candidate must submit a "consent & no objection certificate" from his/her parent organization. Other terms & conditions remain the same as in Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Ph.D. Regulations for Admission to Ph.D. Programme.

2 f) Candidate must have scored minimum of 55% marks for General Category and 50% of marks for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time at the qualifying examinations mentioned above. g) Those candidates who have cleared UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship/m.phil or equivalent examinations recognized by UGC are exempted for taking this Ph.D. entrance exam. All such candidates will submit application form alongwith the attested proof of having cleared exempted examination as above. However, such candidates will have to appear for interview to discuss their plan of research. Duration of PhD program: i) Medical Faculty: Full Time candidates holding MD/MS qualifications: Min. 2 years inclusive of course work (Max. 4 years) Full Time candidates holding Diploma/MSc (Medical) qualifications: Min. 3 years inclusive of course work In Service candidates with MD/MS qualifications: Min. 4 years inclusive of course work In-Service candidates holding Diploma/MSc (Medical) qualifications: Min. 4 years inclusive of course work Part time candidate with MD/MS qualifications: Min. 4 years inclusive of course work Part time candidate holding Diploma/MSc (Medical) qualifications: Min. 4 years inclusive of course work ii) Dental Faculty: Full Time candidates holding MDS qualifications: Min. 3 years inclusive of course work In-Service candidates holding MDS qualifications: Min. 4 years inclusive of course work

3 Part time candidates holding MDS qualifications: Min. 4 years inclusive of course work iii) Allied Medical Sciences Faculty: Physiotherapy, Nursing, Pharmacy and Management faculties; Full Time Candidate with PG degree in Physiotherapy (MPT), PG degree in Nursing (MSc), PG degree in Pharmacy (M Pharm) & Pharma D and PG degree in Management: Min. 3 years inclusive of course work In-Service candidates with PG degree in Physiotherapy (MPT), PG degree in Nursing (MSc), PG degree in Pharmacy (M Pharm) & Pharma D and PG degree in Management: Min. 4 years inclusive of course work Part time candidates with PG degree in Physiotherapy (MPT), PG degree in Nursing (MSc), PG degree in Pharmacy (M Pharm) & Pharma D and PG degree in Management: Min. 4 years inclusive of course work Women candidates: The women candidates and Persons with Disability (more than 40% disability) may be allowed a relaxation of two years for Ph.D. in the maximum duration. In addition, the women candidates may be provided Maternity Leave/Child Care Leave once in the entire duration of Ph.D. for up to 240 days. How to Apply: Candidate shall obtain an application form from Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to University website. Filled up application forms along with attested photo copies of all semester mark sheets (UG & PG), passing certificates, registration certificates as applicable, six recent passport size color photograph and requisite examination fee for Rs.3500/- in form of DD from any nationalized bank in favor of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth payable at Vadodara; should be submitted/sent to The Registrar, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University,

Please mention on the top of envelope as Application Form For Admission in Ph.D. Programme Procedure for Selection: The candidates aspiring to register for Ph.D. program shall appear for entrance examination conducted by Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University. Candidates who cleared Ph.D. entrance examination shall be called for an interview / counseling. Based on the performance at the entrance test and interview, subject wise merit list will be published on University Website. Candidates will be invited to participate in Ph.D. registration process on merit basis.
