5 5 Fulbright International Writing Program Fellowship One full grant for a writer, poet, playwright or literary translator for three months March 1, Program, cultural event and administrative fees; lodgings at the University of Iowa; maintenance allowance; limited health insurance for grantee only; international travel to and from the United States; program related local and regional travel The goal of the program is to provide to its participant a setting for cultural exchange; the time and space to write, read, translate, study, conduct research, and travel; and the opportunity to give readings and become part of the vibrant literary and academic community at the University of Iowa Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowships Three grants for full academic year July 15, International/domestic travel; tuition university placement and fees for university course work; Limited health coverage; monthly maintenance allowance; funding for books, computer purchase and professional activities; special program seminars; settling-in allowance Non-degree program, combining studies and internship, for mid-career professionals with commitment to service to the public

One or two semesters October 15, International economy travel; Fulbright grant (to be determined); Institutional in-kind (to be determined); limited health coverage Preference is given to proposals in the humanities or social sciences, but other fields focusing on international issues will be considered.
