1 30 November 2010 Dear Instructor: Bucks County Community College is conducting a series of workshops in the Central, Western, and Eastern areas of the state, for our emergency service instructors. The purpose for these workshops is two-fold: to provide you with new information on College and PSFA programming, policies, and procedures and to seek your feedback on the delivery and support of our field programs. These sessions will contribute to your professional development requirements for Bucks County Community College, as well as the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy. In order to reach as many of the instructors as possible, we have scheduled workshops in various locations throughout the month of January 2011 (see attached list). Please note that all sessions will start at 7:00 pm unless noted otherwise. In order to meet employee obligations and audit requirements, your attendance is required; however, you need only to attend one session. There will not be any additional workshops for Meeting attendance is an annual instructor requirement. Instructors not attending a meeting in calendar year 2011 will not be contracted for any programs until this requirement is satisfied. Having Instructor Emeritus Status with the PSFA does not exempt you from this meeting. All instructors/evaluators must bring an up-to-date resume and copies of any college degrees, teaching credentials, and certification certificates to update your file. Please do not bring copies of certificates from every course you have ever attended! Please bring your questions or concerns to the workshop.
