Customize your degree by choosing concentration areas that match your career goals. Core courses focus on helping you acquire practical, applied knowledge in accounting, statistics, business law, ethics, economics, and technology, among other subjects. Concentration courses are designed to help you build professional skills including effective written and interpersonal communication, analytic, and organizational skills. You will also gain broad knowledge in subjects like psychology, sociology, and the arts. Throughout the course of your studies, you ll gain real-world experience by developing solutions to common challenges in business and nonprofit settings. At the same time, you ll build and expand your professional network by interacting with faculty, business professionals, and your peers. Marian University partners with local organizations, businesses, sports teams, and other enterprises to provide you with opportunities to engage in high-impact, project-based learning as you meet course objectives. Take advantage of internship opportunities, designed for students who work full-time, with these program partners, including mentorship programs and jobshadowing options. Ask us how you can earn credit through special projects, completed via independent study, with our community partners. marian.edu/businessadministration Our experienced advisors will talk with you about how your existing credits may transfer to one of our degree programs. Completing my bachelor s degree at Marian University was the best career decision I ever made. Not only did I gain a new level of self-confidence, business acumen, and professional poise, but my employer presented me with four different advancement opportunities within the organization after I graduated. 6 Health and Human Services BACHELOR S DEGREE If you want to make a difference in the health and wellbeing of others but don t want to provide direct, hands-on patient care, Marian University s online Bachelor of Health and Human Services (BHHS) degree is the ideal fit. Our evolving healthcare landscape increasingly requires professionals in a variety of roles to serve patients and ensure efficient, effective delivery of services. Although there are similarities, HHS careers are different than those in public health or social work. HHS specialists use their knowledge to educate and serve others. Careers in health and human services go beyond individual care. As an HHS graduate, you ll find many career options from which you can choose. In some positions, you will help coordinate service delivery, manage agencies, provide support services, or educate and improve the community. You may work individually or as a member of a team that could include healthcare providers, social service workers, and others. Because the career paths vary, so does the amount of responsibility, education, and supervision required for success. Upon completion of the program, you can pursue employment opportunities like: Health educator Community health manager Population health coordinator Nonprofit program coordinator Quality improvement coordinator Health and wellness coordinator Workforce development counselor Administrative services manager marian.edu/healthandhumanservices After earning my degree, I was handpicked by my company s president to participate in an executive leadership training program, which will give me invaluable organizational opportunities and insights. I have no doubt that earning a BHHS, combined with 20 years of IT experience, made all the difference.
