2 1. INTENSIVE COURSE This is our main course. It offers you a high degree of flexibility: you can do as many weeks as you want and start at any point in the year, whatever your level. 20h/week, 1h = 55 Any number of weeks Start any Monday (every second Monday if you are a beginner) Max 10 students per class (average 7) Minimum age 16 Monday Friday: (including a 20-minute break) All levels Obtain ECTS credits with this course Start dates Students who already have some knowledge of Spanish may start an intensive course any Monday throughout the year (except public holidays). For students with no previous knowledge of Spanish, we offer the following start dates: January: 2, 15, 29 February: 12, 26 March: 12 April: 9, 23 May: 7, 21 June: 4, 18 July: 2, 16, 30 August: 13, 27 September: 10, 24 Ocber: 8, 22 November: 5, 19 December: 3, 17, 31 * The weeks starting March 26 and December 24 include two public holidays and, therefore, they will have a special price of 140. When they move up a level, they will be asked exchange the book for a new one. When they leave the school, they will be entitled take the last course book home with them at zero cost.

3 COMBINE your intensive course WITH: Sailing DELE preparation Private tuition Other cities 1.1 Sailing Learn ride the waves off the beach of Palma. You can t get a more thrilling experience than that! In June, July and August students can choose either attend a group class (minimum 4 participants) or have private tuition. The rest of the year only private tuition is available. Duration 2 weeks Schedule In the afternoons Supplement In a group (30h): 465 Private lessons: 55/hour* *Students can book as many sessions as they like (minimum 3 hours per session) Note The course fee includes the hire of all equipment and obligary insurance cover. The fee doesn t include transport and the sailing school although this can be arranged on request. 1.2 DELE preparation Prepare for the DELE exams organised by the Institu Cervantes and earn an internationally recognised official qualification. International House Palma is an exam centre. Note Students can take a DELE preparation course at any time of the year but the DELE exams themselves are only available on certain dates. 4 COMBINE your intensive course WITH: 1.3 Other cities Study Spanish while you get know Palma de Mallorca, Madrid, Malaga, San Sebastian, Seville, Barcelona, Valencia or Cadiz. Choose the cities and the number of weeks you want study. Visit for information on conditions and special prices for combined courses. OTHER COURSES 2.Private Tuition If you want go at your own pace, learn just what you need, and decide for yourself how intensive you want your programme be, one--one classes are the best option. You can also combine private tuition with a group course. Note If two people want take private classes gether, this rate will be increased by 20%. Fee Hourly rate (fewer than 10 hours): 48 Hourly rate (10 hours or more, or combined with an intensive course): Courses for over-50s If you re over 50 and would rather learn Spanish gether with students your own age, this 2-week programme may be just what you re looking for. We ll also show you around Palma, have lunch gether at a typical local restaurant, and go on a Saturday excursion outside the city. Online courses with Net Languages To get ready before coming Palma or continue your studies after returning home, we recommend one of our online courses. Each Net Languages course consists of around 120 hours of interactive study materials and can also include individual written and spoken turials with a qualified language instrucr. 6 ACCOMMODATION Notes 1. All accommodation is arranged the Sunday evening before the course begins until the Saturday morning after the course ends. The prices quoted are for the same period. If it is impossible arrange arrival and departure times in accordance with these days, extra nights can normally be arranged on payment of a supplement. 2. Host Family Type B: Includes additional services like the ironing of the student s clothes and access a private bathroom. 3. Rooms in apartments shared with other students (options E and F) are available all year round but need be booked well in advance. 4. Students who choose accommodation in an apartment will be asked pay a refundable 200 deposit in the event of any loss or damage their accommodation. 5. Prices for alternative types of accommodation (hostels, hotels, studio apartments or aparthotels) are available on request. 6. 7 Enrolment information Enrolment All individual enrolments should be accompanied by a deposit of 210, which can be paid by credit card or bank transfer. Transfers should be made our bank account, which has the following IBAN number: ES , (Swift code: BSA BES BB) and is held at the Banco de Sabadell, Via Laietana 47, Barcelona. Please note that any bank charges incurred on payment of the deposit will be added the balance of the course fee. However, we do not charge commission on credit card payments. You can enrol and pay with complete security at our website: Payment The balance of fees is due on or before the first day of the course. Cancellations When a cancellation is received 10 days or more before the course is due start, the deposit is refunded, less 120 for expenses. For cancellations received with less than 10 days notice, the deposit is non-refundable. Once the course has started, the cost of the entire programme (course and accommodation) is non-refundable. Under exceptional circumstances, and at the discretion of the school direcr, a student s unused fees can be held on account for up 12 months. In other words, the unused fees (not including the first week s course and accommodation fees, which are applied the cancellation fee) can be used study at any International House VIVA Group school within 12 months of the cancellation date. Please note: We recommend that all students take out course cancellation insurance protect them in the event of unforeseeable incidents. Airport transfers There is frequent bus service Palma Airport the city centre. However, we recommend that young students with no knowledge of Spanish take advantage of our airport meeting and transfer service. Palma Airport transfer fee (one way) One person: 60 Two or more people: 35 per person The prices quoted are for transfers between 8.00 and (arrival time at the airport). If a student needs a transfer before 8.00 or after 22.00, these prices will be increased by 25%. Please note that we need the arrival information at least two working days before arrival.
