5 Passport to Learning and Tuition Based Kid Quest Academic Program (Kindergarten - Sixth Grade) Purpose To enhance skills needed in the areas of reading, writing, math, and science. Date June 8 - June 30, Half Day Enrollment Title I Passport to Learning... 1,039 students Tuition Based Kid Quest Academic.. 62 students Total.. 1,101 students

6 Bilingual Program (Pre Kindergarten - Second Grade) Purpose Bilingual summer school is required by federal law to be offered for Pre-K and K students. CISD offered a supplemental summer program to 1 st and 2 nd grade recommended Bilingual students. Date June 8 - June 30, Full Day Enrollment 1,031 students

7 English as a Second Language Program (Pre Kindergarten - Second Grade) Purpose English as a Second Language (ESL) summer school is required by federal law to be offered for Pre-K and K students. CISD offered a supplemental summer program to 1 st and 2 nd grade recommended ESL students. Date June 8 June 30, Full Day Enrollment 222 students

8 Reading & Math Camp Purpose To provide an intensive, targeted reading and mathematics intervention for fifth grade students and provide an additional assessment opportunity for students needing to take the third administration of the Reading STAAR. Date June 8 - June 22, Half Day Enrollment 369 students

10 Extended School Year Services Purpose Extended School Year (ESY) services are designed to minimize the loss of acquired critical skills of students with disabilities who have demonstrated significant regression or recoupment patterns. Participation in ESY is based on decisions made by the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee. Date / Time June 13 - June 30, Full Day July 18 - August 4, Full Day Enrollment 35 students

18 Secondary Summer Summary There were 2,267 course enrollments in Secondary Summer School programs 781 students attended the district high school programs 102 students attended online accelerated initial Math credit courses 456 total students attended junior high summer school 50 students participated in ESY 27 students attended GED classes 85 students participated in ESL Academy Approximately 95% of the high school courses taken were completed successfully 285 initial high school credits earned by high school and junior high students repeat credits earned by high school students
