1 Important Dates HUSKY HEADLINES May 10, 2018 May 7-11 Teacher Appreciation Week May 10 CONCERT: 6-2 & 7-2 Orchestras May 11 School Dance May 15 CONCERT: 8 th Grade Orchestra & Band May 16 Olympic Day 8 th Grade May 17 Olympic Day 7 th Grade May 18 Olympic Day 6 th Grade May 22 Election Day 8 th Grade Dance EARLY DISMISSAL: 1:30 May 23 EARLY DISMISSAL: 1:30 LAST DAY OF SCHOOL From the Principal Hello Hightower Trail parents, We are now in the second week of May. Many of our eighth graders are in DC and have arrived at the first of the significant places there. Here are a few of our students at Arlington National Cemetery. In working through this year and already planning for next year, it continues to be of concern that there is an impression that half day in middle school is 12:30. If you check your child out at 12:30 then they are counted absent by the state for the entire day. Our magic number is 12:45. We are beginning to receive EOG (End Of Grade) scores and are in the process of analyzing them. The CCRPI is under another reorganization so this year is again another baseline for the scores.
