Questions 6 10 refer to the following . From: To: Subject: Hi, Barb Jackie Barb Hello! s A big hello from Chile! My sister and I arrived last Sunday, and we re having an amazing time. On Monday, we took a tour of Santiago. It s a beautiful city, and we saw a lot of it. At the end of the day, we climbed San Cristobal Hill and had an incredible view of the city. On Tuesday, we went to Isla Negra. Isla Negra means black island, but it s not an island at all. It s famous because the wonderful Chilean poet Pablo Neruda lived there. His house is now a museum, and it s very interesting. On Wednesday, we flew to Calama (a little scary!) and then drove to the town of San Pedro de Atacama. In the afternoon, we went to Moon Valley and watched the sunset. The next day, we saw the Atacama Salt Lake in the desert. We got back to Santiago yesterday, and we re going to spend the weekend here before our flight back to Chicago tomorrow. We re tired, but we had a terrific trip. Unfortunately, we didn t have time to go to Easter Island, to Punta Arenas, or to Puerto Montt. We didn t see the Torres del Paine National Park either. The next time, we ll definitely stay longer so that we can see more of Chile. A week isn t long enough! See you soon, Jackie t 20 DuocUC Practice for the TOEIC n Test Interchange n Level 1A Unit 6
