1 After School Program Added Join our newest After School Program in the Rec Room at Olive Grove Apartments (1945 Zinfandel Drive). Here 40 youth find a safe place for activities such as gardening, science projects, cooking, dance, sports and homework assistance. The program focuses on character development to support the growth of healthy, caring and responsible community members. Open M Th, 3-6pm and only $10 for the whole school year! Register at Finley Community Center on 11/7 from 5-7pm. Recreation Sensation Two, 3-week summer sessions M-F, 8:30am-3:30pm $10 per session, includes t-shirt Join the 2018 summer day camp at four elementary schools close to home and enjoy sports, art, recreation and learning! Registrations will be held the week of 5/7 to 5/11. Summer Work Experience Youth Ages $10, includes t-shirt Practice filling out job applications and participate in an interview. Gain job training and real-life work experience with two weeks of volunteer work at one of our summer programs. Participants must be age 13 by 6/11/18 and attend mandatory in-service training the week of June 4. Applications available at Steele Lane Community Center, M-F, 9am-4pm beginning 3/1/18 and are due back by 4/6. See application for eligibility criteria.

Trick-or-treat, take a (friendly) haunted tour, enjoy nachos, dance and participate in a costume contest at Steele Lane Community Center (415 Steele Lane). This popular event fills quickly, so be sure to arrive early! Parent/Child Sweetheart Dance Sat., 2/10, 6-9pm Steele Lane Community Center FREE All ages welcome! Bring your son or daughter as your date for the Sweetheart Dance! Dance, play games, enjoy nachos and other treats and make Valentine s Day cards. Parents Night Out Fri., 12/8, 5-8pm Steele Lane Community Center Youth grades K-6 $5 per child Finish holiday shopping or spend time with your significant other while the kids enjoy a pizza dinner, movie, arts and crafts and other fun activities. Spring Fest at Southwest Sat., 4/14, 10am-1pm Southwest Community Park FREE All ages welcome! Gather up the family and come out to Southwest Community Park at 1698 Hearn Avenue for egg hunts, snacks, games, face painting, crafts and more! Egg hunt for children five years and younger at 11am and kids 6-12 at noon. Thanks to funding provided by the Measure O sales tax and the Change for Kids Program, we are able to offer these programs to underserved youth and families who live in Santa Rosa.

4 School Break Sports Camps Youth Grades 3-6 $10 each per camp, per session (1777 West Avenue) Stay busy and engaged with a variety of sports activities at these camps offered during Thanksgiving, winter and spring school breaks. Thanksgiving Camp: 11/20-11/22 8am to 3pm Register: 11/7, 5-7pm at Finley Community Center *Camp ends at 12pm on 11/22 Winter Dodgeball Camp: 12/26-12/29 and 1/2-1/5 8am to 3pm Register: 11/7, 5-7pm at Finley Community Center Spring Break Fun On The Run Camp: 4/2-4/6 8am to 3pm Register at Finley Community Center on 1/18, 5-7pm Junior Warriors Spring Basketball Feb. to May Practice Tu/Th evenings Games Sat. mornings Grades 4-6 & 7-8 $10, includes team jersey Join this co-ed youth program to learn and play basketball! Two age divisions practice on Tu/Th evenings and play games on Sat. mornings and possibly Fri. nights at Comstock and Roseland Accelerated Middle Schools gyms. Register on 1/18 from 5-7pm at Finley Community Center. Spring Cheer Late Feb. to May Grades 3-8 $10, includes t-shirt Gain cheer experience, self-esteem and make new friends with this outstanding program! Practices are Tu/Wed/Th between 6-8:30pm (exact times TBA) at Steele Lane Community Center. Weekly group performances are on Saturdays during the Junior Warriors basketball games at Roseland Accelerated Middle School gym. Register 1/18 from 5-7pm at Finley Community Center.

5 Futsal Nov. to Feb. Grades 3-4 & 5-6 $10, includes team jersey Participate in this fun co-ed youth program with two age divisions. Tuesday practice/thursday games at Santa Rosa Middle and Comstock Middle Schools gyms. Register on 11/7 from 5-7pm at Finley Community Center. Junior Giants 2018 Season: June to Aug. M-Th Elsie Allen High School & Southwest Community Park Junior Giants is a free, non-competitive baseball program in partnership with the SF Giants that focuses on character development. All participants and their parents must attend a mandatory First Pitch Meeting in late May. Youth ages 5-13 (as of 7/1/18) may register. Registration details available after 1/26/18 by calling Middle School Soccer Feb. to April Mon/Wed/Fri Grades 7-8 $10 each Roseland Accelerated, Slater, Cook, Comstock and Santa Rosa Middle School students are invited to play. Players skills will be evaluated (not tryouts) for proper squad placement. A tournament ends the season! More details available in November by calling Volunteer as a Junior Giants Coach or Team Parent Volunteer with Junior Giants to positively impact the lives of youth! Participants entering grades 7-9 in the school year will partake in drills, scrimmages, tournaments and walking field trips to Ridgway Aquatic Center for swimming.
