2 General Information l Participants with previous language knowledge can start their course on Mondays. Classes that have to be canceled due to public holidays will not be replaced. Classes will be held, as a rule, in the morning; during high season they may also be held in the afternoon. l One training unit (TU) lasts 45 minutes. l The minimum booking term is 2 weeks. l The minimum age is 18 and in the summer (from May till September) 16. l Number of participants per group: minimum: 5, maximum: 15. l As a rule, if accommodation has been booked the arrival date is on the Sunday afternoon before the beginning of the course (unless it s a public holiday). The following services and fees are included in the price when you book a German course at Carl Duisberg Centren l registration fee l placement test l starter pack with file, block of paper, city map etc. l course book, and CD if necessary, and any further teaching material l weekly tests with direct feedback on your learning progress l examinations at B1 and B2 levels for long term enrolments, provided that the participant has reached the respective level l leisure and culture program, e.g. sport, center parties, weekend trips (not including entrance fees etc.) l support with registration queries (e.g. visits to the town authorities dealing with foreigners) or help in emergencies (e.g. visiting a doctor) l General information on German universities and conditions for application to a German university l free and internet access (Wi-Fi available in some locations) Notes regarding all fees All fees are in Euro ( ). Not included: travel costs to the Carl Duisberg Training Center, admission fees, fees for transport and board, leisure and cultural activities (except when included in Summer Holiday Courses, Winter Special, Complete Programs for Children and Teenagers and Programs for School Classes and Groups), nor pocket money for personal expenses, personal insurance cover. 3 Modules & Additional Programs Modules as well as Additional Programs are supplements to the above mentioned Intensive Course Plus. They can only be booked in combination with Intensive Course Plus as additional courses. In this way the participants can extend the Intensive Course Plus to suit their personal targets. In most cases depending on the topic, a certain language level must have been reached to take part in these additional courses. As a rule, modules comprise of 4 or 6 teaching units.
