5 BOOKING CONDITIONS By making bookings with International House London, you agree to these terms and conditions which can also be found on the International House London website at ihlondon.com/terms-and-conditions If you book your programme at International House London through an agency in your country, then the contract you have is with your agent, and different terms and conditions may apply. Deposit 350 (non-refundable) and Registration Fee 95 Balance To make your booking, you must submit a booking form and pay a 350 deposit, Always quote your student number on bank transfers or correspondence which is part of your total fees, and the 95 registration fee, within 3 working days of submitting your form. Both payments are non-refundable. Balance needs to be paid 4 weeks before start date. Payment Full fees as quoted on your pro-forma invoice must be paid at least 4 weeks before the course start date. We cannot guarantee to hold a place on the course/ accommodation unless all fees are paid in full and on time. Students with unpaid fees will not be admitted to the course and may not be able to move into or remain in their accommodation. Payment can be made by bank transfer direct to IH or through our online payment provider Flywire. In addition to a Flywire handling fee, all card payments may be subjected to a fee levied by the card company. These fees are non-refundable. It is your responsibility to cover all bank charges and exchange rate differences for payments. Cancellation Course Cancellations before the course start date must be made in writing to IH London. Once a booking has been confirmed, the following cancellation notice periods and fees apply. More than 4 weeks before the course start date: all fees are refunded apart from the 350 deposit and 95 registration fee Less than 4 weeks before the course start date: you must pay two weeks tuition fees (less the 350 deposit) and 95 registration fee. Cancellation Accommodation If you cancel your accommodation in a residence or in a homestay at least 4 weeks prior to your arrival you will not incur any charges. However, if you cancel 1-4 weeks prior to arrival, you will incur a charge of up to 4 weeks of accommodation fees. Accommodation booking fee: No refund given on this. Visas You may require a student visa in order to study at the school. It is your responsibility to obtain this visa and IH London is not responsible if a student obtains the wrong visa. If you require a visa, and you arrive without one, you will not be allowed to attend the school. International House London is a Tier 4 Sponsor under the UKBA s points based system (no. 5BY3ENNA5). International House London will provide the documentation required for participants to apply for study visas where applicable. Documentation in support of study visa applications will only be provided upon receipt of full fees. The school has a legal obligation to collate and maintain application information, as well as passport and visa data, and inform the Immigration Authorities of those participants whose attendance falls below the standard required by their visa. If a visa application is unsuccessful, yet all documentation was correctly submitted, IH London needs to be informed and a copy of the visa refusal letter should be sent to the customer service team. A refund will be issued on receipt of this documentation, less a 95 administration fee, providing that it is at least 4 weeks before the start of the course. If we are notified fewer than 4 weeks before the start of the course, all fees are refunded except the 350 deposit and the 95 registration fee, we will also keep one week of accommodation fees. Notes Prices are for courses booked after 1 November 2018 for any course starting in Any courses commencing in 2018 or extensions to courses commencing in 2018 will still use 2018 prices. Insurance We recommend all students take out a suitable insurance policy to cover cancellation & medical emergencies. You can start a Learn English course any week. The minimum booking duration for Learn English 15, 20 and 25 courses is 1 week. Other courses offer specific course durations. You need to be at least A2 level to study in the Learn English group classes except for the 1:1 training. The registration fee of 95 is payable for all for all new enrolments. If you start the next course within 6 months of your last course, this fee will not be charged. Participants lose tuition if they are late, absent or leave before the course ends. Cancellations and refunds where the school terminates the contract The school reserves the right to terminate the booking without refund, where a student s acts or omissions are such that it would be unreasonable for them to continue their studies in the school.
