2 NSP - An Initiative of Hon ble Prime Minister of India NeGP, MMP Project DeitY, New Delhi Awarded the project to CGG, Hyderabd NSP (National Scholarship Portal) to be Launched by Honorable Prime Minister Of India

3 ABOUT NSP The main objective of this Integrated National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is for the automation, streamlining & effective management of processes related to application receipt, processing, sanction and disbursal of Centrally Sponsored Scholarship schemes (CSS) to Students. This initiative is aimed to facilitate Faster and Efficient disposal of scholarship applications and timely payment of the scholarships to the students, directly in their bank accounts.

4 Benefits of NSP For STATES and Ministries: Saving of Money, Effort and Time States need not procure any Hardware and Network Separately. States need not to develop and maintain separate Software Portals for implementation of Scholarship Schemes Elimination of duplicates across the schemes and across the country Centralized UID Services: States need not have Locally Centralized Mobile Services and Mobile APPS Open APIs Multi Lingual Support Centralized application Hosting in CLOUD-No Charges for the states Centralised Payment Gateways for Release of the Scholarship Funds. Easy to Track & Monitor Configurability in the work flow and rules Can be implemented to State Scholarship Schemes also Comprehensive MIS and Dash Boards for all levels Content Management System (CMS) for States to publish the content

5 NSP Main Features Students can Register and Submit their application online(for Applying for centrally /state sponsored scholarship schemes), from anywhere anytime Students can View/Track the status of their own application with User ID and Password generated by the system Students can Renew their applications with same credential(student ID/Password) Uploading of documents by students in support of their claims (such as income, mark sheets, bank account details, category,caste certificate etc.) be enabled for easy verification and transparency Provision of SMS and alerts to the Stake Holders such as Institution and students at various stage of processing Contd

6 NSP Main Features Renewal of the application by the institutes only by importing the application from previous year Role Based Unique Login ID and Password will be made available for all stakeholders Auto & bulk processing of Scholarship application by the Institute Easy Scholarship Sanctioning process for Sanctioning Authority Auto disbursal of Scholarship to Student s Bank Account Easy monitoring of Scholarship by the Department and State Authority

The portal should allow the user to fulfill his needs, wherever possible, through self-service Digital Dashboards to display key information on a single screen and allow an overall idea of the current schemes being introduced in the country/state Alerts- Provision for user to receive SMS and alerts Cross platform browsers support State-of-the-art tools and technologies at the backend in a world class hosting environment ensuring a fast and secure 24*7 access

Central Ministries: To start Updating the Content on Scholarships portal and add details of all schemes States: Nodal Officers are to be nominated from each State/UT by respective central Ministry Nodal Officers are to be nominated for each department of state (by concerned state nodal officer) Configure Work Flow available, each State/UT to configure Configurable funds flow available, states to configure (central to state, direct central, committed liability etc.) States presently processing the scholarships manually, maybe brought to scholarship portal with immediate effect States using Rapid Replication Rollout (RRR) may also be brought to the portal.

15 Implementation Plan for For States with No Online Scholarship System can join NSP for the year States Under Rapid Replication Rollout (RRR) can be migrated to NSP from the year States which are Operating Online Portals can also- Migrate the Data to NSP Masters Data Migration Student Application- Data Migration Configure & Define Workflow in NSP
