6 Assessment and Compliance Your compliance training is not just about meeting legal and regulatory requirements, it is often critically important for personal safety. Totara LMS will help you manage your compliance programmes. Totara LMS has a range of assessment options including a sophisticated assessment engine where you can create assessments from banks of questions and track scores and completion rates. You can also load assessments developed with popular 3rd party authoring tools. Assessment setup Create multiple question banks for use within a topic, single course, course category or for site-wide use. Generate assessments using one or more question banks, with randomisation if you wish. Set course completion on assessment completion or score, or any other activity such as e-learning or classroom session. Import SCORM assessments created using external authoring tools. Records and evidence Report on individual questions, user scores and automated feedback. Track completion of individual activities such as e-learning, classroom sessions and assessments. 8 Totara LMS Reporting To make the right decisions quickly, you need timely and targeted information at your fingertips. 9 Content Management Create content online or import courseware from external sources. Totara LMS has a wide range of content authoring and management capabilities allowing you to create a course with both content and activities. Totara LMS enables you to insert almost any kind of web content into your courses. There is also a huge range of learning activities - e.g. lessons, wikis, forums and assignments. As well as creating your own content, you can add SCORM authored in external tools. Unlike other LMS products, you don t have to ask your vendor to add new content, you can simply add as much courseware as you like, by yourself. Using Totara LMS you can quickly and efficiently schedule face to face events and provide full employee self-service to browse events and book online directly. Totara LMS also has an optional built-in workflow so that a manager can review and approve bookings. Alternatively the manager can book the learner to an event directly. 13 Hierarchies and Frameworks Use Totara LMS to map learning onto job positions and organisational levels Hierarchies in Totara LMS allow you to set up various frameworks that best represent the structure of your organisation. This enables you to input the structures and relationships of job positions and different sections of your organisation. Learning can then be mapped to individual job roles, management levels, departments, teams and groups. Hierarchies are highly configurable to provide the structures which facilitate position and organisation specific learning plans, competency evaluation and management.
