1 September 2018 Distance Education Schedule Registration Begins: July 24, 2018 Last Day to Register: September 20, 2018 Classes begin: September 24, 2018 CENTRAL TEXAS COLLEGE is a leader in Distance Education. Our student-centered approach makes it possible for students worldwide to enroll in and take classes through CTC whether or not a CTC office is available locally. Student Services Advisors and counselors help distant learners with admissions, degree selection, enrollment, financial aid, and the full-range of student services. To accommodate your needs and requirements, we offer courses starting at least once a month terms of 8-16 weeks multiple delivery modes
2 Course Listing Information: Columns 1-4: Course number and title. Please refer to your CTC Degree plan to ensure you select classes included in your degree Column 5, CTC Section number: Because tuition rates vary and are governed by contract and MOU based on your location when you enroll it is essential that you are placed in a course section that corresponds with the correct tuition rate. To select the correct section, refer to the first letter of the section number and choose based on the descriptions below. If you are unsure which section to use, contact your CTC site representative or Eaglesoncall@ctcd.edu. Nxxx NONRESIDENT: Students outside Texas not governed by a contract, along with third course repeaters. This includes any nonresident assigned to an installation in the U.S. Txxx TEXAS RESIDENT SECTIONS: Locations in the state of Texas, including active duty military assigned to Texas AND bona fide Texas residents assigned to other locations. Uxxx EUROPE SECTIONS: USAREUR locations Dxxx CENTCOM SECTIONS: Deployed locations in CENTCOM IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERING THROUGH THE GOARMYED PORTAL, LOG IN TO WEBADVISOR AND USE STUDENT PLANNING AND REGISTRATION. Column 6, End Date: Refer to the end date column to determine course length. Column 7, Instruction Mode: Some online courses may be scheduled as self-paced. These have specific start and end dates, but allow some flexibility with respect to timelines for completing and submitting coursework. To succeed in a self-paced class, you must: Contact your instructor during the first week of class, even if you can t start your class until later. Take at least four weeks to complete the coursework. Complete all coursework by the last day of class. Complete assignments/tests in order (Test 1 before Test 2, etc.) Complete the majority of the coursework by the last day to withdraw. Consult the course syllabus for specific instructions. Check with your instructor about requirements for progressing in the class such as receiving feedback before going to the next assignment.
