1 Gradesheet Basics (USAF) G/TIMS Gradebooks, or training jackets, are integral sets of gradesheets generated by specific syllabi. The core function of the gradebook application is to document and review student performance. This Quick Guide provides an overview of the TIMS gradebook application. Gradesheet Interface Overview 4 The gradesheet screen is comprised of five panels or areas:. Gradebook Navigator. Gradesheet Grid. Gradesheet Details 4. Gradebook Gradesheet Toolbars 5. Gradebook Statuses Panel 5 Accessing Gradebooks Gradebooks are accessed from three locations in the TIMS Browser:. Schedule notifications on the browser calendar. Links in the Tasks grid. The Gradebook / Training Jacket button in the Results menu We will now review the methods for accessing gradesheets.

5 Gradebook Navigator The Gradebook Navigator provides an overview of the student s progression through the syllabus. It includes five subsections:. Gradebooks. Recent Gradesheets. Opted Gradesheets 4. Pending Gradesheets 5. Draft Gradesheets Gradebooks list completed and inprogress syllabi. The active syllabus is displayed at the top of the list. Tip 4 A closed book icon indicates that training has been concluded for that syllabus. Recent Gradesheets display a list of events that all instructors have recently submitted for the student. Opted Gradesheets list events for which the student has completed all of the prerequisites. Pending Gradesheets list all scheduled events. Draft Gradesheets list draft gradesheets that must be submitted or resubmitted. T

The Student Status and Event Status bars display crucial information concerning student status, scheduling, and event submission for this gradesheet. Under optimal conditions, the Student Status bar is blue, which means the student s status does not preclude him or her from completing the event. Under optimal syllabus conditions, the Event Status bar is purple, which means the event is both opted and scheduled. Colors/statuses that may be displayed on the Student Status bar include: Blue optimal color, indicates the student is cleared for the event Red sub-optimal color, may indicate the student has a status that precludes him or her from completing the event Colors/statuses that may be displayed on the Event Status bar include: Purple optimal color, indicates the event is both opted and scheduled Light blue indicates the event is opted but not scheduled Grey indicates the event is not opted and not scheduled 6
7 Tip 5 Click the Additional Info bar to display syllabus, class, and organization information. T5 T6 Tip 6 Click the Event Notes bar to display syllabus information regarding the event.
