Write college level essays of various modes to include, for example, narration, comparison/contrast, persuasion, and critical analysis, choosing the appropriate methods of development for the writing project. 2. Summarize, paraphrase, quote and synthesize sources appropriately and in accordance with the MLA style guide. 3. Revise compositions for clarity, organization, and mechanical and grammatical correctness. 4. Demonstrate information competency skills using the VVC Library catalog, online databases, and the Internet to locate, retrieve, analyze and evaluate information sources. 5. Write documented research papers which support a thesis using diverse resource material and MLA documentation. 6. Read and analyze college level material for audience, purpose, style and content. 7.
