Lab management duties include coordinating events, mentoring students and organizing lab meetings. Engineering Intern City of Bellevue, Washington Jan Present Responsibilities include data management, database programming and transportation data collection. Traffic signal control system operations and interface also a priority. Previous Employment Lecturer Summer 2010, Winter 2012 CEE 412 Transportation Data Management and Analysis Teach students advanced features of Microsoft Excel, data input into databases (Microsoft Access and SQL Server), management and querying of data, use of analysis tools and web presentation of data. Additional duties involve server setup and maintenance for SQL Server and a web host for student web tools. Undergraduate Research Assistant Jan June 2008 Member of Smart Transportation Applications and Research Lab (STAR Lab) Developed evaluation framework for evaluation of STARLab VVDC program versus Citilog device. Evaluation covered scenario development, testing procedure and accuracy determination. Additional work included report writing and documentation of procedures and testing scenarios as well as manual data verification.

6 Temporary Parks Worker City of Mukilteo July 2006 Sept Responsibilities focused on being the public face of the City of Mukilteo at Lighthouse Park. Additional duties included parking enforcement, bathroom stocking and garbage collection. Temporary Parks and Facilities Maintenance Worker City of Snohomish June 2005 Aug Responsibilities included watering flower baskets along city streets, checking and stocking public restrooms, and parks supervision. Additional duties included light handyman work, such as drywall repair, painting, and fencepost setting. Shipping/Receiving Sears Roebuck & Co. Selected Published Work Applicability of Conditional Left Turn Phase Reservice Strategies In Press 2013 A model is developed to estimate the performance of conditional left turn phase reservice as a means of identifying when conditional left turn phase reservice will improve traffic signal performance. Improving Intersection Performance with Left Turn Phase Reservice Strategies Published 2012 The implementation of conditional and fixed left turn phase reservice strategies at an intersection is examined. Specifically the impact of left turn phase reservice on left turn and intersection delay are examined. Applicability of Conditional Left Turn Phase Reservice Strategies Submitted 2013 A number of different left turn strategies, including permitted and protected left turns, flashing yellow left turn arrow and left turn phase reservice, were examined in VISSIM simulation. Signal control strategies were executed via external code and VISSIM s COM interface. Detection and Correction of Inductive Loop Detector Sensitivity Errors Using Gaussian Mixture Models. Published 2011 This research used Gaussian mixture modeling to identify loop detectors with sensitivity level errors. Software based correction was also applied where sensitivity errors were not extreme. Both event data and aggregated data were shown to be usable for diagnosis and correction. Development of a Statewide Online System for Traffic Data Quality Control and Sharing 2009 This project involved the creation of a database capable of storing all loop detector data collected by the Washington State Department of Transportation. The project required
