In this work presents an overview of the Moodle learning system and blackboard learning system. Learning management systems can provide a large variety of workspaces to enhance the progress of information sharing and communication among users in learning course. The main focus of this paper is to examine an efficient online learning community which helps both teachers and students to have a virtual workspace where they can share knowledge through different kinds of effective activities such as chats, feedback and collaboration. Online learning system helps students reinforce their abilities and knowledge. This paper presents a usability of user experiences in Moodle and blackboard system Index Terms: Web-based learning, e-learning, Moodle, blackboard. 1. INTRODUCTION: Online learning and teaching are becoming a enormous developing system in Information and communication technology (ICT). An E-learning content is developed according to a set of learning objectives. A learning content can be delivered using different multimedia elements, such as animation, graphics, audio and video. Learning through computer aids are very much interactive system for both students and teachers. Online learning provides an additional features or the opportunity to develop and improve the teaching and learning experience in important ways. Students learning experience can be evaluated using moodle and blackboard learning system. Attracting the attention of academic organization an e-learning has created new systems for teaching and learning. The work produced is often dynamic and contingent. The E - learning system offers an information space that invites active collaboration. E- learning represents innovative ideas for providing rapid ideas access specific knowledge and information. 2. MOODLE SYSTEM: Most popular open source learning management systems in e-leaning is a Moodle learning system. Students' experiences in learning communities are stored in log files. Moodle keeps detailed logs of all the activities that student s perform in their learning system. The teachers can use these data to determine an interesting knowledge from the students log files. In Moodle system can get the full report of the students and also a detailed analysis of each student s responses and elapsed time analysis. Moodle system does not store the student s interaction log files as a text file. Instead, it stores the student s interaction files as Relational database. In all areas Moodle system provides a pedagogical support for both teachers and student s.. 3. BLACKBOARD SYSTEM: Blackboard system provides efficient and powerful systems for educational Institution in an e-learning system. The Blackboard learning system has become the foremost efficient system in e-learning communities. Blackboard system provides technical standards for online learning applications. Students and teacher may get benefit from learning management systems. Blackboard learning system has potential benefits are described in the following figure Increase of learning materials availability: The learning contents are rich in e-resources availability in the learning management system. The Availability of e-resources in the learning materials are stored in various ways in the form of documentation and supplementary materials such as videos, presentation, interactive resources, various computer programs and digital resources, chat etc. E-learning resources for optimal usage and efficient E-service delivery in an E-learning system Vol 4 Issue 7 JUL 2017/101
2 Increase of learning materials availability Feedback Improved Collaboration Learning Skill Building Tracking and identifying student s behavior Figure1: Blackboard learning system potential benefits. 3.2 Feedback Mechanism: In e-learning communities feedback mechanism plays a vital role in learning management system. In an e- learning system to receive effective elearning feedback to create a user define system that is informative, attractive, and motivational for the students in the system. 3.3 Improve collaboration learning: Collaborative learning in an e-learning system, students were able to interact with the other students. Collaboration learning is based on the principle of elevating the learning experiences among the students by interacting with other students and benefiting from other student s strength. 3.4 Tracking and identifying student s behavior: Tracking the student s activities in the learning system is very important to identify the behavior of the student s. To characterize the student s behavior is one of the preferred targets in the e-learning system. 3.5 Skill building: Students are allowed to learn from the ideas, skill sets and activity students experience enrolled in the course. Learning management system provide a variety of opportunity to a learn a variety of skills like collaborative building teamwork skills. 4. STUDENT S EXPERIENCE APPROACH IN MOODLE SYSTEM: As for Miroslav, Z.Tari and P.Herrero [2], they applied learning management system on mobile devices using adaptive technologies like Google proxy. As per the result gathered in this usability research conducted among the students who have enrolled in the course have confirmed that development learning management system needs to have learner in the center of development of user center design. The prime aim of this paper is that poor usability of learning system leads to poor adoption to overcome the hypothesis adopting existing Learning management system on mobile devices with adaptive technology like Google proxy. As for Gorgi Kakasevski, Martin Mihajlov [3], The goal of the paper is to analyze the component like learning, synchronous and asynchronous communicating, testing, assignment submissions using moodle learning system. Each student had a task to complete three questionnaires with different types of questions (multiple choice, scaled - answer and openended questions, and different task to do). The goal of this questionnaire system is to collect preliminary impression of the system, and a concern on the user interface of the system. This provides a summary of usability problems defined by students and teachers. As for Brian Beatty and Connie Ulasewicz [4], Moodle is very much an interactive tool for both students and faculty. If a student is not self-motivated in an e-learning system. Online is considered a challenge or convenience using moodle system. Important information can be mined from the students log files The online system will probably most important factor for influencing what your students learn and read. As for Martin Dougiamas and Peter C. Taylor [5], In this paper they analysis well growing learning community of e-learning users. By using a hypothetical perspective such as "social constructionism" and "connected knowing" for this paper has outlined a methodology used to construct a Moodle learning Open Source course management system. Moodle systems are able to record a user experience from a student's perspective. Moodle system is tremendous system from the fields of e-learning education and Internet development Vol 4 Issue 7 JUL 2017/101
3 As for Ioannis Dimopoulos, Ourania Petropoulou [6], this author presents a new assessment tool, called Learning Analytics Enriched Rubric (LAe-R). To discover information and social connection we can use; intelligent data, learner produced data and analysis model to predict and advice on learning. LAe-R has been developed with the intention to support teachers in their ongoing summative assessment tasks using a variety of LIAI embedded criteria in learning strategies. As Gabriela Carmen Oproiu [7], the aim of the paper is to identify the need of training and information in the e-learning domain. The series of empirical research can be concluded by questionnaire based inquest has been used in the present empirical research. Virtual Learning Environments are used as auxiliaries for the traditional didactic activities, known as Blended Learning [7]. The use of VLE is increased by universities and other formation institution is a reality and will definitely have an important impact on the learning process. The Moodle platform, which has become more and more used in Romania, comes as a support for the educators who aim at increasing the quality of online courses, In order to facilitate the learning for supporting the student s needs. liked the grade book as offered by the blackboard learning system. Moodle system just displayed the raw score of the student s learning activities. 6. CONCLUSION: Technology based learning and teachings are based on a large variety of different teaching methods. A Moodle Learning management system with e-learning helps to find optimal ways of learning and optimal learning results. Using this Moodle system students emphasize this method and makes the learning processes easier and more interesting. The Blackboard learning management system can be restricted to particular Operating system and provides efficient systems and easy-to-use systems for educational institutions. The result above is highlighted the needs of the student s experience in web based learning and also concluded the needs of learning management system in the student s learning activities of the courses. V. STUDENT S EXPERIENCE APPROACH IN BLACKBOARD SYSTEM: As per Peter Bradford et al [8], they used the blackboard system to provide meaningful and userfriendly systems for educational system. The Blackboard Learning System has become the leading e- learning software company. Is this necessarily good for higher educational learning. Blackboard Learning System used in distance learning and it offered a weighted grade level amount the student s. The Blackboard Learning System allows the instructor to accomplish effective online teaching principles. Good practice in blackboard system encourages studentfaculty contact effectively and increase cooperation among the students. By practice of blackboard in Learning system respects the diverse talents and ways of learning. Allowing students to choose course topics incorporates diverse views into online Courses. Well practicing the blackboard system encourages active learning and gives prompt feedback. Challenging task to emphasize time on task and communicates high expectations. As per Dave Bremer et al [9], analyzed the student s discussion. The students seem to prefer Moodle to Blackboard system on most counts. Students Vol 4 Issue 7 JUL 2017/101
