31 Schedule Planner Tool The Schedule Planner tools help you in the initial stages of planning your Spring 2018 schedule. It is designed to assist you with creating an ideal schedule, taking into account any other regularly scheduled events of daytime preferences you may have when creating your schedule. (work times, athletic practice, etc.)

32 Things to Consider By now you know your optimum learning time, schedule accordingly. Take classes over 5 days, who wants 4 exams on one day? Middle of the day classes fill up quickly, try other times Watch out for 1x week classes, too long for first year students Be careful about hearsay on Professors (Rate my Professor) Full-time tuition pays for credits Take into consideration work schedule & club meetings

34 Registration Tips Review schedule closely & print detail schedule Refer to Registrar s website for instructions Once online system closes no online registration First week of classes is add/drop week Use Permit Cards for closed classes you absolutely need. Do not register for Place Holder courses Beware of financial and academic deadlines while adjusting your classes. Check your Degree Works audit & online schedule often Check your Marist and your campus mailbox - Daily! See your Advisor and/or Mentor if you have questions, they are there to assist you

35 Registration Timeline Spring 2018 October 11 th Open Web to view Winter & Spring 18 courses October 16 th November 20 th Advising period October 31 st Change of Majors due during the advising period Registrar will accept prerequisite (green form) and major/minor/concentration/class restriction (pink form) forms. Registrar will not accept overrides (yellow forms) until registration begins. Check for your specific registration time right before your registration day at the Registrar s website. November 7 th 90+ earned credit hours as of Summer 2017 November 9 th earned credit hours as of Summer 2017 November 14 th earned credit hours as of Summer 2017 November 16 th 0-29 earned credit hours as of Summer 2017 November 17 th Make-up day - Registration will be open from 7:30 a.m. 11:59 p.m. November 20 th Make-up day - Final day to register for spring 2018 classes Registration will be open from 7:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Winter 2018 Real Time Registration First Come First Serve System Open until 11:59 p.m. each Day Closes at 5:00 p.m. on last day Registrar will announce specific registration slots by credit in October November 7 th November 30 th Winter Registration opens at 10:30 a.m. 11:59pm (daily) Last day for winter registration until 5:00 p.m. (EST)
