Upon completion, you will be ready to find employment in many different types of businesses, corporations and environments, within a wide range of industry sectors. Project managers are usually involved in a diverse range of business activities, working within multiple departments of an organisation, often from toptier to ground level. This diploma will give you realworld experience and the chance to be involved in an ongoing workplace project, with some responsibility for the project s outcomes. Or you have the option to undertake the provided case study that simulates the workplace to complete the required assessments. You will discover how to develop strong leadership and management skills, allowing you to achieve your project objectives. This diploma will also give you a specialised level of theoretical knowledge and equip you with specific, technical and managerial skills. This means that you will complete your knowledge and initial skills development through online learning. What is online learning? OpenSpace is Open Colleges online campus. This course will provide a comprehensive introduction to higher-level project management skills such as defining the project, estimating project resources, managing project quality, performance, risk and integration. This diploma is structured to include subjects that are designed to support you in developing a solid grounding in the strategic and operational aspects of project management in a broad range of contexts. What are the admission requirements for the course? Minimum age requirements You will need to be at least 18 years old. Employment requirements There are no specific employment requirements. However, this course is suitable for candidates who

Education requirements Open Colleges requires that you have: > completed schooling to Year 12, OR > a nationally recognised qualification at the Certificate III level or higher, OR > 2 years of industry experience. This course would suit you if you have: 1) Completed the BSB41515 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice. 2) Extensive vocational experience in project roles where you had responsibility for the output of others (you may, or may not, have a formal project management qualification). English language requirements This course requires you to read comprehensive learner guides, undertake a range of written assessments and engage in online discussion forums. Furthermore, the delivery mode relies on the extensive use of written communication. As such, entry to the course requires English proficiency to Year 12 level or equivalent (a qualification at the Certificate III level or 2 years of work experience in a role that requires the use of written documentation and communication) or the completion of an approved English language test (see website for details). Computing requirements You will need access to a computer and the internet and you must have basic computing skills. Audio-visual requirements You will need access to software to view online videos and images. Software such as Adobe Reader, Windows Media Player, Windows Photo Viewer etc. are available as free downloads from the internet.
