Analyzes economic models of the consumer, perfect competition, monopoly, oligopoly and monopolistic competition. Explores economic issues including market power, population growth, positive and negative externalities, income distribution, poverty and welfare, discrimination, and international economic interdependence. Prerequisite(s): EN090 and REA 090, or CCR 092/093/094 with a grade of C or better, or ACCUPLACER Reading 80+ and Sentence Skills 95+. MAT 045 or higher with a grade of C or better, or ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra 61+.
