2 Technical Assistance Workgroup Outcomes The purpose of the Technical Assistance Workgroup is to help schools and their partners in identifying, accessing, developing, disseminating and evaluating data-informed strategies that address dropout prevention, intervention and retrieval, including universal student screening and service delivery models.

5 TA Workgroup Tasks 1. Collect and organize research and/or results supporting comprehensive dropout prevention, intervention, and retrieval (dpir) models and strategies. 2. Develop an OSPI based website (linked to partner websites) to host effective dropout program information for use by pre-k-12 education staff and other stakeholders. 3. Consult with other GATE workgroups to develop a school self-audit process/tool for use in identifying and analyzing dropout programming needs, as well as matching cross-system efforts to research-supported dpir strategies/programs. 4. Collaborate with other GATE workgroups and allied agency partners to design and implement a professional development model, including outreach and support to work with all districts/schools and communities in addressing local dropout prevention, intervention, and retrieval efforts.

6 Partnerships Workgroup Outcomes The purpose of the Partnership Workgroup is to highlight and support collective community action amongst all sectors around graduation rates. Specifically, this workgroup will work to identify existing successful state and local partnerships and build new relationships. We will facilitate a shared vision, values, language, and action around strategies to increase graduation rates.

9 Planning Workgroup Tasks 1. Participate with the T.A. Workgroup s comprehensive inventory of DPIR programs, including successful community partnerships. 2. Identify and recruit new partners from non-traditional sectors and existing networks for GATE members 3a. Provide trainings to internal core workgroup members and other GATE Chairs 3b. Identify and/or share trainings that are relevant for school and community partners 4a. Create a beta on-line sharing portal and begin populating with communication, tools, and resources 4b. Identify existing/create a framework for developing multi-sector partnerships 4c. Identify existing/create evaluation strategies for assessing partnerships at local and state level 4d. Identify existing / create marketing tools that highlight successful partnerships and promote opportunities around collaboration
