2 Guaranteed entry Pathways 2 Helping you realise your goals and ambitions is important to us at Flinders University. We understand that everybody s life path is different. That is why Flinders offers a number of guaranteed entry pathways to a large range of our undergraduate courses. Flinders University offers guaranteed entry pathways to assist prospective students who: Are looking to upgrade a Vocational Education & Training (VET) qualification from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Didn t receive a competitive ATAR or STAT score for their chosen course Are looking for a career change Are interested in specialising or changing their current area of study A VET qualification is one way to guarantee entry to a Flinders course. Our guaranteed entry program is for applicants who have completed a VET Certificate 4 or higher level qualification. Another popular option is to consider a different Flinders degree as a pathway to your preferred course. Flinderslink is a guaranteed pathway program for current students, enabling them to change to another course once enrolled in a Flinders degree. International students interested in entry pathway options at Flinders University should contact the International Centre directly by phoning +(618) or lodge an enquiry at flinders.edu.au/askflinders tafelink Flinders offers guaranteed entry to selected Flinders courses via our TAFElink program. To apply via the TAFElink program, you must have completed a TAFE/ VET Certificate 4 or higher level qualification and meet all course prerequisites. Importantly, the TAFE/VET qualification does not need to be related to your selected area of study at Flinders. With credit offered in most Flinders courses for holders of TAFE/VET qualifications, you can reduce the time required to complete your Flinders course. All you need to do is decide which course you wish to study and apply through the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC): satac.edu.au Flinders courses available for guaranteed entry via our TAFElink program are listed on page 4 5 of this brochure. More information on the Flinders TAFElink program can be found at: flinders.edu.au/tafelink Flinderslink Flinders University offers guaranteed pathways to the majority of our courses via our Flinderslink program. If you are studying at Flinders and wish to change your course, we will offer guaranteed entry to another Flinders course providing you fulfil the following requirements: complete a year or more of equivalent full-time study; achieve the required minimum grade point average (GPA); satisfy any course prerequisites. Flinderslink is designed for applicants who do not initially gain entry to their course of first choice or who may want to change their career pathway after commencing studies in another degree. For example, if you do not initially get a place in the Bachelor of Health Sciences, you are guaranteed a place in Health Sciences if you complete a year of full-time study or equivalent in another Flinders course such as the Bachelor of Arts, and obtain a GPA of 5.0 or higher. The Flinderslink program allows you to apply for credit transfer to your new degree. Whilst you may still be required to complete first year topics, you can tailor a program of study that maximises the benefit of your earlier studies. You also retain your place in your initial course. Flinders courses available for guaranteed entry via our Flinderslink program are listed on page 6 7 of this brochure.
