Assistant Security Officer 02 Posts (1 UR; 1ST) Minimum Qualification and Experience - (i) Graduate with 4 years relevant experience in the armed or civil forces [(like State Police, CRPF, CISF, NCC ( C Certificate)], (ii) Should be able to ride light vehicles / motor cycle. Desirable : (i) Persons with working knowledge of computers will be preferred. (ii) Should have experience in fire fighting and/ or controlling civic/ staff unrest (iii) The candidate will be required to qualify a physical endurance test to be conducted by the Institute. 2. Artist 03 Posts (UR) [1 Hindusthani Classical Vocal Music; 1 Hindusthani Instrumental Music & 1 Indian Classical Dance] Pay Band : PB2; ` , Grade Pay : ` 4600/- Minimum Qualification and Experience - Post Graduate qualification in respective fields from Institutions / Universities with specialization in one or more of the following specialized areas. recognized Specialized Areas : Hindusthani Classical Vocal Music, Hindusthani Instrumental Music and Indian Classical Dance Post Graduate degree in any field with gradation certificate of at least B Grade from Prashar Bharati or empanelled artist of recognized Govt. Institute like ICCSR, Sangeet Natak Academy etc. in one or more of the of the above specialized areas. Desirable : 3 years experience in the respective area. Junior Artist 02 Posts (1 OBC; 1 ST) Minimum Qualification and Experience - Bachelor s degree in respective fields from recognized Institutions / Universities with specialization in Hindusthani Instrumental Music (preferably percussionist). Bachelor s Degree in any field with gradation certificate of at least B Grade from Prashar Bharati or empanelled artist of recognized Govt. Institute like ICCSR, Sangeet Natak Academy etc. in Hindusthani Instrumental Music (preferably percussionist). Desirable : 1 year experience in the respective area. Experience of working with students of Academic Institution will be given weightage. 4. Junior Engineer 02 Posts (1 UR; 1 SC) Minimum Qualification and Experience - Diploma of three years duration in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with 3 years experience. B.Tech /BE (Electrical / Mechanical Engineering). Desirable : About one year of experience in AC / Refrigeration, plant maintenance is desired. Relaxation of age may be considered for highly qualified candidates. 5. Physical Training Instructor - 02 Posts (1 UR; 1 OBC) Pay Band : PB2; ` /-, Grade Pay : `4200/- Minimum Qualification and Experience : Bachelor s Degree in Physical Education with 2 years experience. Master s Degree in Physical Education from recognized Institutions / Universities. Desirable : Preference will be given to the candidates who have experience in coaching at University/ College level and proficiency in more than one discipline of sports. B.Sc. in Polymer Science & Engineering / allied discipline with 2 years experience. Diploma in Engineering of three years duration in Polymer Science & Engineering / allied discipline with 3 years experience. Desirable : Strong working experience in Polymers. For Post 2 (UR) : Minimum Qualification & Experience: B.Tech / BE/ M.Sc. in Instrumentation / Electricals/ Electronics & Communication. B.Sc. in Instrumentation / Electricals / Electronics & Communication with 2 years experience. Diploma in Engineering of three years duration in Instrumentation / Electricals / Electronics & Communication with 3 years experience. Desirable : Strong working experience in the above field. Preference will be given to candidates with good knowledge in MS-Office and web-based computer applications. (ii) Department of Civil Engineering - 01 post (UR) Minimum Qualification & Experience : BE /B Tech. in Civil Engineering. Diploma of three years duration in Civil Engineering with 3 years of experience. Desirable : First class in qualifying degree in above field. Experience of handling basic civil engineering laboratory equipment for testing soil, aggregates and others. (iii) Department of Electronics & Electrical Engineering - 04 posts (1UR; 1 OBC; 1 SC; 1 ST) Minimum Qualification & Experience: B. Tech /BE/ M.Sc. in Electronics/ Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering / MCA. B.Sc. in Electronics with 2 years experience. B.Sc. in Computer Sc./ Information Technology / BCA with 2 years experience. Diploma of three years duration in Computer Sc. & Engineering with 3 years experience. The experience should be in managing computer laboratory /working in similar environment (Windows, Linux and MAC Operating System; Maintenance and troubleshooting of Software, Hardware and Network problems). Desirable : Knowledge of RDBMS, MySQL, PHP, Javascript, Bash Script, C, Matlab, LaTex. v) Department of Physics - 01 post (ST) Minimum Qualification and Experience: B. Tech. / BE in Electronics/ Computer Science / Instrumentation. M.Sc. in Physics /Electronics/ Electronic Science / Instrumentation/ MCA. B.Sc. in Physics / Electronics / Electronic Science / Instrumentation with 2 years experience. Desirable : For candidates with B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Physics, Electronics Specialization is preferred. One year working experience in Physics Teaching Laboratories, and /or Physics or Applied Physics research laboratories will carry extra weightage. Working knowledge in computer controlled experimental setups for data acquisition is desirable. Prior knowledge in server maintenance (data and web servers), and web based applications, and in handling some of the major Teaching/ Research Lab equipment will be advantageous. (vi) Centre for Nanotechnology - 01 post (OBC) Minimum Qualification and Experience : BE / B. Tech in Electronics / Electrical / Electronics & Communication Engineering/ M.Sc. in Electronics. Diploma of three years duration in Electronics / Electrical/ Electronics and Communication Engineering with three years relevant experience. Desirable : First class in qualifying degree in above field. Minimum one year experience in operation and maintenance of sophisticated equipment relevant to Physics/Electronics Engineering/ Nanotechnology. (vii) Central Instruments Facility - 02 posts ( 1UR; 1 ST) Minimum Qualification and Experience: B. Tech. /BE/ M.Sc. in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation/ Physics. 5 -5- GENERAL INFORMATION FOR APPOINTMENT BY SELECTION (NON-FACULTY) 1. Candidates should apply online only. No other means/modes of application will be accepted. 2. Candidates will have to make the payment of Application Fees through the online mode as under: `300/- (for General/ OBC candidates) and `150/- (for SC/ST/PwD candidates). Internal candidates of IIT Guwahati are requested to apply for NO Objection Certificate & reimbursement of application fee as applicable to the Registrar, IIT Guwahati through the concerned HOD/HOS/HOC of the Institute.
